What’s Happ almost every player said in this G there’s a lot of guys on this team who can play for you just what’s been the approach and how have you manage like a lot of talent onam some some night about I’m just being a pro um at the end of

The day um I mean I’m a pro now so I carry myself on and off the court like that uh so at the end of the day just carrying myself as a pro knowing my chance will come and taking advantage of my opportuni so what time did your hit

It P last night after I don’t even know like 5 I probably went to like 5 we at like one and what’s that been like just you know that that part of NBA life of like you can have two games that quickly yeah that’s crazy I mean it’s kind of

Like a it’s kind I think about it like it’s like a all over again so it’s kind of fun like playing basketball all day as a job so it’s pretty cool whenever we talk to the guys about you one of the first things they always say is just

George’s confident you can just sense that confidence where does that come from for you um just all the hard work I put in my whole life um just being in the gym all day every day uh coming up and being in the gym still all day every

Day uh as a professional so um confidence has come from the preparation uh coach green talks about it all the time um so I prepare myself so I get opportunities like these I can be ready for it and we see how much work you put

In to work on your game and kind of add to your game but just the the mental Battle of being ready uh what’s that’s been like for you for your rookie season not being sure when you’re playing going to the G and all that stuff and making

Sure you’re mentally right you do get those opportuni I mean if you look back to my whole career um he started in high school um when I transfer to deata uh I wasn’t the number one option I wasn’t really that guy uh then going to college my freshman year I wasn’t that the

Number one option till my second year so um just building up coming to the league that that helped me a lot um for my fresh especially my freshman year in college I really wasn’t playing a lot at all I be some games I didn’t play so I

Always had to keep my head up and when I got the opportunity um I had to be ready so I just look at it like that um I know I’m better than I was and at freshman at my freshman year so I know I have so

Many things to build on um but but things like this is not playing just like the little things like the defense end we got guys that can uh that can guard and and score as well uh so it’s juster myself on the defense at end is probably going to be the biggest thing

For me what do Cory Brewer meant to your development can you kind of take me inside that relation um like the first day I I stepped foot in New Orleans I worked out with query Brewer so he’s been he’s been he been a lot to me um he

He’s been he’s been with me since I got here um he’s been encourager and he’s he’s told me the truth uh so I I give a lot of credit to brew um just he’s in the gym with me whenever I need him text him can text him right now going get in

The gym he’ll say yes so that’s my dog I mean I’m just playing basketball I really just earlier in the season I got the chance to play a lot um so I wasn’t really nervous or anything um I just took it as I’m might go hoop I’m I’m

Going go show what I can I mean CJ no CJ no no Trey no I no Z so I knew the shots was going to be there I just had to make them tonight you uh you and Kyrie kind of went back and forth a little bit Yeah

You outd them at one point yeah what does that feel like uh yeah Kyrie Cole man um he’s good bro how much he have 33 33 yeah Kyrie’s Kyrie’s crazy I mean it’s kind of I mean yeah it’s crazy it’s playing against Kyrie Irving is pretty

Cool and having do like that when you Lally grew up watching him play it’s really it’s it’s kind of crazy it’s uh really didn’t think about it until you said it so it was pretty that’s pretty cool just uh you and JB haven’t necessarily gotten to close a lot of

Games together uh at down the stretch you guys were working off each other a lot JB in the post you know you you feeding him and posting him F and you just where do you think that chemistry for y’all uh has come from despite really not that much play time together

I mean I think we just both know basketball I think that’s just what it comes down to um they we uh seen that they were going on uh on the dribble with uh him so made the adjustment put me up top and I was hot and so every

Time they went my man left I had open shot if I didn’t have open shot I had open Driver Lane uh so uh we made that adjustment we seen that we seen that early in the second half I mean and we just went we just went at it until they

Uh could stop it so and and speaking of you know you have the driving lane there at the end of the game they’ll run you off the line a lot and you’re able to get downhill get to the free throw line just uh what you know what does it take

For you to make that adjustment and notice that they’ve changed the coverage on you and um is is that something that’s like you said just been a part of your game for a while that like defenses are going to at some point notice that we can’t just leave you over I mean a

Lot of people say I’m sure I look at myself as a scorer like I I can score on all three levels so um I mean if they can they can run me off the line if they want to I mean I know I can have a my R

Range pull up or I can get all the way to the rim uh and early in the first half I was getting guys involved when they was run me run me off the line uh saw Dice and Nai on the drop off passes so um just making the game easier for

Yourself um just keeping it limited dribbles one two dribbles um and eventually I uh get that part of my game with the pick and rolls but right now um I know uh they’re going to run me off the line closing out hard um and I know I have a shot fake get to

The keep it the three or a shot fake get to the rim or and create for somebody else and I know you’re just you know getting started in your NBA career but what’s it like watching a guy like JV who fights to play every single game

Just like what does it mean to like have someone that no matter what like he’s going to play yeah I mean J J’s a dog I mean um he’s been the pro literally his whole life so he he he carries himself like that and I mean I said it I said it

Out there he’s a b bet uh he’s a Pros Pro uh so um him him and CJ uh I look up to them uh want I have long careers like they had um they been the league 11 12 years so I mean it’s really hard to do so
