Makes sense. An expiring and a first. I’d even be happy to shop both firsts this year and a future first if it gets us what we want

  2. Even if we’re under the cap, we’re still going to have to offer up to 3 players to get to a salary match for Siakam. Hield making less than Bruce Brown actually hurts us in this case. Hield, Toppin and Nwora doesn’t work in the trade machine for example.

    Here’s a couple of 3-for-1’s:

    1) Brown / Toppin / Nwora

    2) Hield / Toppin / Smith

Good idea. I love Buddy and am not worried about his shooting, but he’s old for our timeline. Hopefully, we trade him to a playoff team (in the West)

  4. I’m a huge buddy fan and would be sad to see him go but if he wants to get paid it probably isn’t here, so I get it. Getting something from trading him makes sense.

Whether we trade him or lose him via free agency I will definitely miss him. I really wish we could bring him back on a team friendly deal but I think ultimately he deserves one more big contract.

Good idea, Buddy is Buddy, but Buddy+FRP could be anything. It could even be Buddy!!

Seriously, what does this get us? Who are we getting for his salary plus a pick? Buddy+[another player]+Picks might get Pascal so if you like that, I get it, but this by itself makes no sense.
