Pistons Trade Marvin Bagley, Isaiah Livers To Wizards For Danilo Gallinari, Mike Muscala

Yo what’s going on guys and you can see right here shout out Mike Curtis of Detroit Free Press and Adrian maranowski the Pistons are finalizing a deal that sends Marvin Bagley and isah livers and two second round picks to the Washington Wizards in exchange for denil galari and

Mike muscala as you guys know we’ve been reporting all week that the Detroit Pistons were looking to bring in veterans that could provide shooting and they get that here with guys who are on expiring Deals they give up two second round picks because the I personally believe that the Pistons were the ones

That initiated this deal and the contract of Marvin baggley probably needed a second round pick or two to be moved Wizards take this deal because they knew denil gari and Mike muscala were not part of the future and that they get a guy in Marvin baggley who’s

Locked up for a couple years that they could use as a Reclamation project and then Isaiah livers is this weird tweener who could play small forward power forward and even maybe small ball five and has good shooting ability again what do I think of the trade it’s a win-win

For everyone we’ll talk about real quickly with the Pistons what are the Pistons getting in denil galinari galinari this season is specifically averaging about I think it’s like just under 20 minutes a night I want to say and he’s provided you know decent floor spacing this year at 38% from three and

My apology he is exactly this year playing 15 minutes a night shooting 31% from three for his career he’s like a 38% three-point shooter 43.5% from the field he’s gotten a bunch of dmps and what you’re getting with denil galari at this point he’s basically 6’1 he plays with a d bunch of

Confidence he’s basically you know health is the biggest question mark with him nowadays but what you’re getting is a guy who is a big body you know will shoot threes over everybody good player Off the Bench and kind of a vet that will help maybe push the locker room

While them getting Mike muscala Mike muscala is just a three-point shooting big and this season he’s played 14 minutes night four point points 36.7% from the field 27.2% from three three rebounds a game and assist the night while also you see over here Mike muscala he’s going to be a guy that

Besides just giving you some rebounds and three-point shooting he’s a decent athlete he’s not going to give you much besides that he’s a power forward and a center so that’s what you get there and then with Marvin baggley I think Marvin baggley is definitely a guy that could have some

Potential on this team in terms of for for the The Whiz we’ll talk let me talk was in the SEC but danil gari and Isaiah lers how they’re going to slot in right now into the the Pistons depth chart is going to be definitely interesting as I

Think Danilo and Mike musall Off the Bench as I think they’ll come they’ll help alleviate assar Thompson and the Kevin Knox minutes maybe and you know Kate Cunningham and Bo on bonovich are both out right now or day today so I think right there you’re giving yourself

Some more depth and just some vets to help teach the youngs while I think this is a good move the the Pistons didn’t really give up too much I think right here it is what it is they had to give up this I think it’s more because of the

Contract of Marvin baggley if anything but if we move over to the Wizards Wizards do this because you know Danilo and Mike muscala they weren’t going to be on the roster next year and what they get with Marvin Bagley is a guy who’s played 26 games this year has 10 points

A night 59% from the field 16% from three 4 and a half rebound assist if you look at his numbers last year or in that 18 game stretch with the Pistons when he got tra traded he he wasn’t bad I mean this is a guy who can still dribble at he’s a

Freak athlete he can shoot he’s not the best defender but he’s got good rebounding ability and for the The Whiz what you’re really not losing anything by doing this move because you’re getting a Reclamation project and Mr Marvin Bagley who’s the second overall pick you’re going to give him minutes and the

Way I see it is we don’t really have an a typical power forward like Kyle kma’s our power forward Denny abdia like Benny Denny ABIA and Kyle kma are two forwards who play small forward and power forward so now that we have with Daniel gatford a legit backup center You could argue

And a power forward in Marvin baggley like I kind of like that as Marvin bagley’s probably going to play a little bit more five for us as we do kind of have more forwards but I do like that he just gives us a guy who can be a

Multi-positional player um I think it’s just again the value right there for Marvin baggley was we get second round picks and we get to see if a a guy can reach his potential I think that’s a pretty good you know tradeoff and for me I think the the biggest thing is when

You look at Marvin Bagley is like can he achieve what we thought I mean the guy has the the potential to be one of the better power forwards in the league I think at this point we’re just hoping that he’s a guy who with his offensive trait his solid rebounding ability that

Yeah he’s a tweener he and he’s not the best at finishing around the rim and he can’t shoot the three consistently you’re just hoping someone like Wes sunel could maybe harness that athleticism while you look at Isaiah livers I would say is this season he’s a

Guy who’s played only in 23 games 20 minutes a night and the two future second round picks are going to be nice as you know we’ll be able to use them but livers is a career through three seasons 35% per game this year he’s having his Worst season he’s actually

From Michigan so it’s actually kind of sad went to college at Michigan got drafted by Michigan spent his whole life in Michigan another like forcing him out but he’s another tweener that like he loves his right hand and he’s not the world’s best defensive player but at 6’6

6′ 7 with shoes with a 6’9 wingspan he’s hard noosed he can play both forward spots I wouldn’t play him at the the he really doesn’t really give you much besides the shooting which is fine he’s just another guy I believe he’s on an expiring deal so don’t expect

Too much nothing against Isaiah lovers he could maybe blow our minds away and unexpectedly he could be a guy that has a bigger impact than we believe but the way I see it is you got two teams right here Pistons needed to get older they needed some more old dudes on the roster

To help just push you know to just teach good habits and for this to be a a deal that I think really gives the the Pistons vets for Monty Williams which they needed they’ve been saying that they needed vets and it gives them shooting which is another thing that

They’ve needed while the Wizards here get younger which they’ve needed to do especially for being a tanking team and yeah I think right there you look at it denil galinari I know isn’t going to set the world on on fire by any means but he is a guy that’s going to provide the

Pistons with you know a alleviate the poor shooting they’ve had at moments and then it’ll also allow them to you know have C flexibility down the road while I think for the Wizards Marvin Bagley just you get a guy with actual potential um maybe you know you everything can

Like I I hope that it all works out I I for me as a a Wizards fan I have faith that Marvin baggley can figure it out and be an average NBA player at the very least I mean we’re not asking for too much at this point so for me I think

When we look at it like that I don’t think it’s impossible to think that yeah Marvin can figure it out if we if we just do it right but yeah let me know your thoughts Down Below in the comment section if there was anything else you guys wanted to hear about this

Trade but yeah Marvin baggley and the boys traded

The Pistons and Wizards are finalizing a deal to trade Marvin Bagley, Isaiah Livers, and two second-round picks for forwards Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala, sources tell ESPN. Detroit moves Bagley’s contract ($12.5M in 2024-2025) for two future second-round picks. Livers ($1.8M), Gallinari ($6.8M) and Muscala ($3.5M) are on expiring contracts.

  1. I like the trade just because the Pistons will have an extra $12.5 million to spend in free agency. The 2 players they got in return will probably be gone after the season.

  2. As a Pistons fan, I'm trying to figure out what was the worst signing by Weaver… Was it Plumlee, Kelly O, or Bagley…??? Literally had to send 2nd rounders to unload all those terrible 3 year contracts.

  3. Bobby Marks reviewed the trade and said it was reckless on Detroit's side. The Wizards get those picks which is good.
