Sneaky TRADE Setting up Potential STEAL for the Celtics? | Boston Celtics News

The Boston Celtics have been rumored to be looking for additional bench help this season and two ex Celtics and Danilo galinari and Mike Mo Scala were just traded from the Washington Wizards to the Detroit Pistons could they possibly be moved to the Boston Celtics in a trade or in a buyout move that

Could help the Celtics get another veteran on this team we’ll be exploring those options in if it was likely that the Boston Celtics could get one of these players and if so how impactful they could be for this Celtics team I’m Bruce valz and welcome back to this

Subscribe button it’s amazing but let’s dive into this Boston Celtics news make sure to grab a snack as today is going to be a jam packed episode as we dive in exploring a Celtics reunion and yes the Boston Celtics could possibly bring back two of their veteran pieces from last

Year and Danilo galinari and Mike muscala now unfortunately for Danilo gari he never got to play for the Boston Celtics suffering a torn ACL in the Olympics and Mike muscala was a late edition with our other tpe that the Boston Celtics got at the trade d line

And it he was a solid third big man but if we want to look at the trade Adrian War Janowski broke down saying that the Detroit Pistons and the Washington Wizards are finalizing a deal to trade Marvin Bagley Isaiah livers and two second round picks for forwards Danilo

Ginari and Mike Mo Scala and the two picks that the Wizards got were the 2025 and 2026 second round picks so we want to look look back at this deal the Pistons are giving up you know Marvin Bagley a be a big that really hasn’t performed but could be a decent role

Playing big for the Wizards if they still want to believe in him but he does have a big contract Isaiah Li is on the last year of his deal but he’s a decent shooter this season and has looked like a good shooter for the Pistons and two

Second round picks for two veteran guys on gwari muscala which kind of free up some cap space for the Pistons to give them some opportunity in the summer they have a little bit of flexibility to go out and possibly get a Max cont contract with the cap space that they freed up

From Trading Marvin Bagley and guys like Dano gwari and Mike muscala are on expiring deals and they are some veterans so if they want to bring them back for this Detroit Pistons team because the Detroit Pistons want veterans so badly they can personally though I don’t think that these guys

Drastically move the Pistons obviously it opens up some cap space but I believe that muscala and nilo galinari could easily be moved to other teams to help out in their playoff pushes or just in general waved or bought out from this Pistons team so they could go help out a

Championship team and one and both of those guys are ex Celtics Danilo galinari and Mike muscala both played on the Celtics Denari never played but Mike muscala played for a little bit and was a solid piece for the Boston Celtics so let’s dive in and look at the possibility of the Celtics bringing

Either of these guys back and if so how would they be able to do it first we’ll be looking at Danilo galinari unfortunately for the Boston Celtics Danilo galar’s contract is a little too much for for the Grant Williams traded player exception he does not fit into

That $6.25 million so the Boston Celtics would not be able to use that traded player exception to acquire Danilo galinari I believe that galinari would be a nice 43 for the wing that we obviously didn’t get to see he’s a nice shooter and he could be a nice veteran

For this team he was obviously expected to be that role last year but wasn’t able to Dan garari also grew up with the Celtics being his favorite NBA team and was so happy that he landed a contract with them before suffering the injury obviously the Celtics moved him and Mike

Muscala to land christops porzingis to Washington and he was not happy about that saying he wanted to torch Boston when he played against them and unfortunately did not do that so when looking at D gari could he be a possible addition for the Boston Celtics we want

To look at his stats this year you can see he’s averaging right around seven points 2.9 total rebounds and 1.2 assists of a 43% from the field 31% from three and 83 .9% from free throw so his 3 percentage has definitely gone down a little bit this season but his usage

Rate has also gone down tremendously from this uh from his other years in the past Danielo galinari obviously on the Wizards isn’t expected to play that much he hadn’t played since December 27th he hadn’t played in a while so he was just being a guy that was not probably

Looking for a move internally with the Washington Wizards and was just getting benched and not getting played as they gave some of their young guys some run because they are at the bottom of the ladder and they are trying to tank a guy like denola garari can definitely be a

Nice three and D Wing piece as a eighth nth man to help out for a championship contending team I believe and I think that the Celtics should be interested in possibly getting him now I believe since his contract is at $7.8 million I don’t believe since the Celtics are in the

Second apron they could be able to get him from the buyout Market but correct me if I’m wrong I don’t believe they could get him from the buyout Market cuz there contract is too small therefore the only way the Celtics could acquire danal galari is moving some lowend bench

Pieces maybe a guy like diano Banton maybe throwing a SM SE mahu contract maybe throwing in an no sha Bret contract even though shet has been playing really really good for the Boston Celtics recently some of those low-end guys Lamar Stevens some of those guys could get combined to bring back

Danilo galinari and the Celtics canot trade for Deno galinari or bring back because he was already traded from the Celtics now that he’s traded to the Detroit Pistons they can actively go out and do that a guy like Mike muscala is also on the market as well Mike muscala

Putting up four points this season 3.1 total rebounds and 0.9 assists shooting 37% from the field 28 point 28% from three and 75% from the free throw in my honest opinion I think Mike muscal has kind of Hit the tail end of his career last year we saw on the Boston Celtics

Him being all right offensive center for the Boston Celtics when they needed that shooting they used him in some situations but never really used a lot and in late in the playoffs he was just not usable at the end of the season so in my honest opinion do they

Realistically need an offensive Center no I think they need a defensive Center a guy getting rebounds a guy who’s going to be able to play some good defense a guy who’s going to be able to stay longterm on the floor and play some great paint defense alongside Al Horford

Or christops porzingis and the Celtics kind of already have that in some of the guys they already have Mike muscal is definitely not a guy that if I were the Boston Celtics I would be looking for forward to acquiring I think he’s a little bit past his age he’s a little

Bit too old I think he’s getting out of his obviously Prime he’s not really an impactful piece and I think at this point of his career he’s more of a veteran guy and more locker room guy and I think that’s his kind of role third

Center kind of can be there as a good role role model good leader in the locker room good uh veteran voice but besides that he’s not going to be perating a a lot of excess Talent on the court and therefore that’s why I don’t think the Boston Celtics should really

Go after him a team like the Pistons might be a good home for him I thought the Wizards were already fine where he could be a nice Mentor nice locker room leader and kind of get some of these young guys bought into this winning culture but a guy like Danilo gari I

Think could be an impactful piece for the Boston Celtics if they were to go after him and I want to know your guys’ thoughts and opinions as well so let me know in the comment section down below would you guys like the Boston Celtics to possibly go after Danilo galinari and

If so how would you like him to go after them I know since we can’t use the tpe and I believe since we can’t do the bio the only way the Celtics would be able to get him is trading you know some smaller contracts Delano Banton s High

Luk Lamar Stevens for a guy like uh Danilo gari gwari comes back as a nice veteran for the Celtics the Pistons get three young guys and the Celtics could bring up guys maybe a DJ Stewart or a JD Davidson or Jordan Walsh to finish out those last rotational spots at the end

Of the season but let me know your guys’ thoughts and opinions I really think the Boston Celtics should look out for an additional bench piece if it’s not with the Grant Williams tpe I I realistically don’t think they should be making the move but the gari coming back to Boston

Wouldn’t be a bad move but thank you guys so much for tuning in this episode of Celtics digest I’m Bruce valz and I’ll catch you guys in the next one peace out

  1. As much as these would be positive moves with Muscala and Gallinari, Celtics need not only a Center… but a Center who could remain healthy! Horford is at a point where I would use him as a rotation to Porzingus always. The 3rd Center needs to be consistently game ready. Porzingus although he's important, he is just injury prone. Horford, we want to preserve him for those crunch time games. Horford's age, his experience we should preserve him for those important games. Are Muscala and Gallinari the best decision? I dont personally dont think so.

  2. Gallinari trashed the Celtics after they traded him and Muscala was buried on the bench after playing just a few games last year— if the Celtics can't do better, then maybe they should do nothing at all.
