The Utah Jazz Have Been QUIETLY DOMINATING THEIR OPPONENTS

Now a few weeks ago when the Detroit Pistons was going through literally the worst losing streak in all of NBA history I had got on them about losing to a Utah Jazz team that had players like Lorie marinan and Jordan Clarkson sitting out and on that ging night Kelly

Oen was the best player for the Utah Jazz the Detroit Pistons they had K Cunningham and most of their rotational players out I think Jaylen Jaylen durren was the only key guy out in the Detroit Pistons still couldn’t pull that went out and at the time I was very

Frustrated in my franchise for that um for that particular game But as time goes on I believe that game was like two maybe 2 and A2 weeks ago the Utah Jazz they are not the team that I think they were when they beat my Detroit Pistons

As a matter of fact they are a much better team and as of late the Utah Jazz has been playing the game of basketball at a very high and a very elite level and there was a point in time this season where the Utah Jazz they had a

Record of seven and 16 they were sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference so when they have guys like Lorie marinan and Jordan Clarkson sitting out for the night I expect my team to be able to get it done especially on our home court with the crazy losing streak

Going on but nonetheless I promise we are off of that for now and we’re only talking about solely the Utah Jazz the Utah Jazz have really cranked things up over their last handful of games we look at the Utah Jazz over their last 15 games they are have they have a record

Of 11 and four over their last 10 game their last 10 games they have a record of 8 and two they are currently on a three game winning streak and what makes this winning streak so impressive is that they’re beating top tier NBA teams and they’re doing it repeatedly we look

At their last stretch of games they beaten the Denver Nuggets and the Denver Nuggets they had no injuries they had no rotational players out Jamal Murray was out there Nikola joic was out there and what was so impressive about that game we seen the Utah I mean we seen the the

Denver Nuggets they come back out and they P they counter punch the Utah Jazz and they went on their own runs and the Utah jazs as young as of a team as they are they was able to withstand that punch and still win the quote unquote boxing match against the Denver Nuggets

They’ve also beaten the Philadelphia 76ers on the road they’ve beaten the Dallas Mavericks the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks those are all playoff teams and not only that those are teams that have Championship aspirations and the Utah Jazz have been able to knock these things off and I know some people

Might say that these are just regular season wins but I don’t know in case um the people who do bring that up haven’t noticed the NBA is so competitive nowadays and with the playing tournament every single regular season game means so much especially when you look out in

The Western Conference how every team is so close to each other and now the Utah jazs with their great play of late they have completely turned their season around they have a record of 19 and 20 and they’re right behind the Los Angeles Lakers for that final spot in the playin

Tournament and the Utah Jazz have so much momentum going for them right now and I think their latest win over the Denver Nuggets um I think it puts an emphasis on what kind of season that this could be for the Utah Jazz they’re getting these high quality teams so that

Mean they maybe can get um into the playing tournament maybe into the playoffs and try to make some noise in the Western Conference playoffs and we look at this turnaround by the Utah Jazz I think we have to give a lot of credit to coach will hardy I think he has been

Doing a fantastic job since he’s been the coach of the Utah Jazz and I think he’s in a very very tough position as a head coach he has a very young team and not only is his team young but he has a lot of talented players on this team so

When you have a young talented team it can be hard sometimes to find that right rotation and give guys the correct roles to where they can both be happy and successful individually but you also got to do the right thing in terms of wanting the team to be successful as a

Whole and I think Will Hardy I think he’s starting to figure his rotations out and I love the role that all of the players under the Utah Jazz has of right now and the guy with the biggest role on this team and the player that I believe

Is the best player on the Utah Jazz is Lori marketing they that the Utah jzs have been able to get him back out on the court healthy um consistently in that starting five and whenever the Utah Jazz have him out there they feel like they can win any ball game and I think

People sometime fails to realize how good Lori marinin is last season just a year ago he was an Allstar starter with all of these talented players in the NBA and this year he’s having another Allstar caliber season for the Utah Jazz averaging almost 24 points per game to

Go along with nine rebounds and he’s been Ultra efficient 48% from the field 38% from the three-point line and 86% from the free throw line and you got to love Lori Mark in this game I love the versatility and all the different ways he can be utilized no pause on that I

Love his versatility and all the ways that he can be utilized when I look at Lori marketing um he’s 7et tall he can handle the basketball he can score from all three levels and and I and I don’t think we realize how crazy it is that

He’s 7 ft tall he has a very very decent handle on the ball and he can shoot pullup threes and three-point shots off of the dribble he’s really good in the mid-range game he’s a great finisher around the rim and he has a back to the

Basket game in that mid post low post area and what takes Lorie Markin to another level and this is where we talking about him being utilized he does a um he does a great job of playing off the ball he can spot up he’s one of the

Best three-point Shooters in all of the NBA and then when you can put him in that two-man game it makes it very very tricky to stop this Utah Jazz offense because you have to worry about that ball handler getting free off of a screen and then you have to very worry

About a very dangerous man um in the rle man and Lori Marinet who can beat you so many different ways coming off that um coming off that screen as the r man he can catch the ball on the short row he can knock down the mid-range jumper he

Can put the ball on the floor or he can make a play for others he also has the ability to pop out to that three-point line which is one of the thing one of the hardest things to guard in basketball when you have a big man and a

Dangerous ball handler and that big can pop out and knock down a three it adds so many different components to having to defend that team and then lastly out of that Twan game Lori marinan can also roll hard to the rim he can catch lobs

And he like we said earlier he’s a great finisher around the room so when the Utah Jack has Lori marinan in that starting five and he’s out there consistently this is a very very tough team to beat and another decision that I love from coach Will Hardy and his

Coaching staff is integrating Jordan Clarkson back into that six-man role and bringing Colin zon into that starting lineup now we look at Jordan Clarkson I love him as a six-man in the NBA and we all know he’s good enough to be a starter in this league he’s one of the

Best perimeter scorers in the NBA and in terms of creating your own shot out of nothing and isolation situations and also running the Twan game Jordan Clarkson knows how to score the basketball but when you move him to that second unit now you have him facing the

6th sth eth ninth 10th sometimes 11th best player best players on the opposing teams now he’s getting a lot of easier looks and also is getting easier looks for the second uh for the second unit guys for the Utah Jazz and since he’s been coming off the bench we’ve seen

Some high production games from Jordan Clarkson on New Year’s Day January 1st we saw him get a triple double Off the Bench and a win against the Dallas Mavericks so whenever you have someone on your bench that’s getting triple doubles and they can put up 20 25 30

Points that’s a great that’s a great thing and is definitely going to contribute to winning and then we look at the other side of it Colin seon Colin ston has been amazing for the Utah Jazz this season um since he’s become a starter playing at a very high level and

What’s crazy I just looked at his game log and his minutes he’s still sharing his minutes with everyone else his minutes aren’t crazy high I would say since he’s been a start he’s probably averaging around maybe 25 27 minutes per night but he’s giving amazing production

And there was a 4 game stretch in December where Colin saon was playing at such a high level he was averaging 27 points per game shooting 52% from the field 38% from the three-point line 92% from the free throw line while also contributing 4 and A2 assists while only

Giving up one and a half turnovers so Colin ston he has um been great so far for the Utah Jazz and you got to love his game um he’s a 6-2 guard but he plays like he’s 68 he’s very tenacious on both sides of the ball my favorite

Ability of cination is his ability to get um to one end of the court to the other with the basketball in his hands when he’s get when he’s grabbing rebounds he’s a real threat to go Coast to Coast he has great ball control great body control and then you just got to

Love the energy that he plays with um it energizes the home crowd it energizes his teammates and his coaching staff and I think he has been great for the Utah Jazz and then um we look at some of the other players on this team I think the I

Think the Utah Jazz are just getting outstanding play from their role players like um a like one of my favorite players he played on the Detroit Pistons Kelly oen and it’s crazy um I was getting on the Pistons for into the Utah Jazz when they when they had Kelly oen

As their best player for that night but I actually love the game of Kelly oen he is a great playmaker um he is a great he’s a great passer he can knock down the three-point shot and he just knows and it’s just obvious that he knows how

To play the game of basketball um Chris Dunn who’s also been playing a lot more minutes for the Utah Jazz it looks like he’s placing um tht in that rotation but his his energy on the defense the side of the ball has been amazing getting Steals and putting constant pressure on

Opposing teams ball handlers um he has been doing a great job of that we look at Keon George who doesn’t have that stress of having to be the offensive engine for the Utah Jazz he’s kind of just learning he’s had um his moments this season where he’s made Big Time

Shots where he’s had big time plays and Big Time games for the Utah Jazz and contributed to um to them winning and then you also still have have Walker Kesler um who sometimes starts sometimes comes off the bench um um he does a great job rebounding the basketball finishing around the realm blocking

Shots so this Utah Jazz team man and I’ll be honest with you guys these guys have definitely made me a Believer they’ve made me do my homework cuz I um I do like to sports bet sometimes and there’s been a few times where the Utah Jazz have been like heavy um they’ve

Been heavy underdogs and they’ve proved everybody wrong not going to lie they they’ve taken they’ve taken some um some of my money so um I’m I know about the the Utah Jazz and I think they’re scar is when they’re at home I don’t know what it is about that home crowd but the

Energy in there the way they play when they’re at home um is really really crazy but that’s what I wanted to talk about with you guys today the Utah Jazz have been playing very very quiet I mean they’ve been playing very very great and they’re doing it quietly and under the

Radar which makes it even um a little bit more scarier but this team is legit they’re playing at a high level they’re beating NBA champions they’re beating teams with championship aspirations so it’s going to be very very um it’s going to be very very interesting to see how

They handle their next stretch of games because it can put them in a position to be in the Western Conference playoffs um um in April but um if you guys enjoyed please leave a like comment down below if you agree or disagree and then subscribe subscribe for more weekly

  1. They are playing great but “dominate” is hyperbole. What’s great is their pick 10 protected goes to the Thunder who may not use it but may bundle it.

  2. Thanks for the complimentary Jazz content. Great show. Detroit has some great pieces and is headed in the right direction. Good luck to both of us. Jazz VS Pistons in the finals a couple of years from now.

  3. JC is the perfect 6th man. A big part of the Jazz's recent surgence is him filling that role. He and George play well together and the plus minus with those two plus Kessler is one of, if not the best three player combos on the team. Dunn and Sexton are a great starting combo as well. Moving Collins to the five and bringing Kessler off the bench has also created unexpected and positive dividends. The changes the Jazz have made with their defensive strategy has been impressive as well. I've never watched a team make this dramatic of a turnaround in such a short time. It's been a lot of fun to watch.

  4. if you like sports betting, you have to look at their win total numbers… currently 34.5 projected to get 40… I have 100 units on them and adding another 100 units when the line moves to 35.5 at +100

  5. it's funny how under-the-radar this has been happening. Utah would be absolutely stoopid to trade Lauri, he's the cornerstone of a winning franchise.

  6. Utah's home court advantage is partially due to an architectural design feature that you also see at the university of Utah football program. Rather than having an open bowl where the fans are set back and an after thought, the Delta Center is steep with the crowd being more like a wall. It makes it loud, intense, and very hard for a visiting team to take the crowd out of the game.

  7. Jazz is weird team, they're missing 2-3 star level players, but theior bench is probably strongest in NBA. its almost like they're an Euro team, with no superstars.

  8. We(Jazz) need to make sure to keep Olynyk along with JC and Laurie. That Jazz/Pistons game was crazy. Detroit was on fire on offense. Both teams went off.

  9. Stat to consider: Early in the 3rd quarter, the Raptors were 16 of 24 on threes…and they were down 23 points!! The Jazz are that good!!
The Jazz get hit with a season-best 3 point assault and crush!
Also consider: The Jazz have player who have IMPROVED. The possibility of players getting better from year to year seems to get dismissed pretty easily. by NBA media. Collins of all people is giving up his body in aggressive defense. Fonteccio has become a legit demon for physical defense on opponents best wings. Dunn has fought his way back into the league with solid handles, smarts and elite defense. And most amazingly…Collin Sexton has not only stopped driving into trouble and taking ill-considered shots, but he's passing AND playing get-in-your-shorts defense. I can't believe anyone can get beat on and hit the floor as often as he does and last the season, but he always gets up.

All these guys are better than their league valuation…which should be changing, about…last week, lol.
