Even when lineups work while injuries happened (I.e. playing Clint and OO, starting JJ and OO), he just goes back to the same lineup when injured players come back. This goes with starting and finishing lineups. He has barely experimented with the young players too.
Sure, players have to be more accountable but the expected coach to be more malleable then he has been.

you cant give a chef shit and expect them to make chocolate soufflé out of it
My guess is he wants the players to get all the reps available to get familiar with his playbook. There’s not much practice time available and this is the only way to instil new plays. Experimenting with lineups could give better results in the short term, but might not lead to the desired long term improvement.
That’s probably also why we don’t play much drop coverage.
This seems to be a trend across the NBA. I can only think of one coach who will break his rotation and that is Spo.
The Jazz coach has done a lot of experimenting with their lineup as well and as a result you can see their record. In fact he has flat out bench THT and has been starting JC at the center.
I’m sure there are other coaches that do it but probably not too many
This is very untrue. Quin has experimented with so many different players in different lineups. The only guy who hasn’t been given a real chance is AJ Griffin, and if you watch him play it’s really obvious why.
