Sam Vecenie just released his Trade Board for 2024.
Wizards have four players ranked in his Top-35: **No. 5) Kuz, No. 10) Gafford, No. 12) Tyus Jones, No. 28) Delon Wright**.
Some of what he had to say about Kuz:
>The Wizards should be in no rush to move on from Kuzma, having just signed him to a four-year, $90 million contract many around the league view as a long-term bargain.
> >I also think Kuzma is a bit underrated. He’s a capable shooter and shot creator from the wing who is miscast as a No. 1 option in Washington, but can be a strong No. 3 or No. 4 option for a good team.
> >Kuzma will likely maintain his value going into the summer, so the Wizards can be patient.

He’s probably not getting traded this season, I don’t feel like anyone is quite desperate enough to pay that price. He’s probably not going to be the missing piece for a team right now. Great contract though. Interesting that they name the Heat as a best fit for him. I think he makes much more sense on the Pacers.
By the end of the trade deadline, Tyus will probably be gone. I think Delon will be moved as well simply because his contract is expiring this year and they need to get *some* value for him.

Would you rather get two middle FRPs or one lottery pick and one 2nd rd pick in return for Kuz??

Good, absolutely can’t take less than two firsts. He’s the one that decided to re-sign

Good, dude has an amazing contract and the league has few sellers and a lot of buyers. No reason to sell lows

This next draft class is pretty weak isn’t it? Would rather hang on to him this year if possible but there’s definitely more risk going about it that way

This is one of those things that drives me nuts about NBA rumors. The range of things that “first round pick” can mean is so wide that saying “they want 2 first rounders” can mean anything.
