it makes sense and the price may not be that high like filler and 1st pick and 2nds

I just want something to happen. Let’s change it up. Get provocative.

Windhorst is usually right about these things, the team is so bad these days I’d welcome it

I’d love it if the asking price is low. If its centered around Johnson or Spencer + the PHX pick this year + 2nd rounders as opposed to any of the other picks we own (all more promising tbh) i’m down.

I’m not trying to overvalue those guys or undervalue Dejounte, I just don’t see the point of giving up any more draft capital than that if we’re not contending anyway.

A trade like this would help balance out the roster. I don’t think Murray is a star by any means (and I thought the initial trade to Atlanta was a massive overpay) but he’s a good player that would make the team better. He isn’t THE answer but could help get the team closer to it

I still don’t even know wtf this guy is. He was better on the spurs as PG. Now if we get him as our starting PG and he can actually elevate the team then who cares who he is. I pray we don’t get him and he’s just another ball hog non assist having wanna be. But honestly at this point just please get someone lol

The Nets started this season with Simmons somewhat healthy. When Simmons was playing, he was facilitating the offense, rebounding when he could, played above average defense, and passing to set up his teammates.

The Nets have faltered this season when they didn’t have anyone to faciliate. When DeJounte Murray was in San Antonio and had lead guard duties (and wasn’t sharing them with someone like Trae), he facilitated the offense, rebounded when he could, played above average defense, and passed to set up his teammates.

Additionally, Murray’s timeline matches Cam Johnson and Mikal Bridges, and he’s signed for 4 more seasons, AND he comes from Marks’ Spurs tree.

What am I missing here? Help me understand why some of you aren’t on board with this.

Murray’s contract isn’t that bad. His salary works nicely if we eventually want to upgrade to a superstar. Team needs a playmaker in the worst way. Lets do it

Lateral move tbh but we do need a change up. If the cost isn’t that bad go for it I don’t mind.
