Well at least that 1st Q was competitive.

Early on was a moment with Sengun posted at the FT line with Embiid dropping and giving him space. Sengun takes time to think before shooting a midrange and missing. Embiid then takes the ball up and quickly shoots his own midrange and hits it. That feels like a pretty good encapsulation of Sengun this season: very talented and a rising star, but still with some ways to go before being among the best of the best. His defense is much improved as a center anchoring a defense that has been on a slump for some games but overall is still pretty good. He still can make progress there, but him improving his midrange and three to be a three-way scorer feels like the next big jump for him.

Like Embiid had one possession where he drove to the corner for a movement midrange and hit it like he’s game 7 Kawhi. Shit’s crazy. Sengun had a nice running floater, though, but outside scoring feels like the biggest hole in his game right now.

Also Jalen’s box score looked okay, but he got a lot of it in garbage time and still played less minutes than the other starters. Inefficient shooting (1/7 from 3), not enough defense and playmaking to make up for it, and noticeable benchings mid-game are just disappointing to see from him.

We’re now below .500, but considering we were a lottery team last season this is fine. We made noticeable improvements but still have a long way to go. Need more from players, a better roster from the FO, and Ime needs to do better with offensive plays and rotations.

  3. Landale with a team high +17. Absolutely goat’ed. Need I say more?

  4. Cam Whitmore is better than Jalen Green

Sengun needs to wake the fuck up and aggro early game and stop trolling.

Ime and Fred need to figure out how to exploit matchups like how Lebron, Harden, Luka, how trae did with lobs did against us. we had embiid out for 6 minutes after alpi attacked him back to back to back offense and defense and we did not post iso one time against fucking morris

Ime has to stop bullshitting everyone about ‘bullied’ ‘physicality’ ‘toughness’ and male sure we can defend 3s better and actually make some wide open ones cause we are getting rawdogged from 3s every game 48% to 29% this game

Please trade Tate the bricklaying 6 foot 4 post playmaker foul artist

  5. WuziMuzik

That was a disgusting game from the refs and the 76rs announcers. They were straight up boldly lying while showing replays. Acting like what we could see was completely different. That was some corrupt disgusting stuff, what were they gaslighting the audience???

  6. AdmirableRise3758

Every injured star player always seems to come back right when they play us

  7. frankievejle

One more game on this road trip. Prob a loss too. That Jazz game at home feels like a must win now, the way they’ve crept back into playoff/playin contention

  8. BigTonyEnergy

Uncle Jeff with -30. Holy fuck! What happened?

Also, can’t believe we decided to close out with that 5 when we were within 9 with 2 minutes left.

for full disclosure I am turkish and biased about Alperen; jalen green needs to give a fuck about his play. he drives into crowd and throwing around weak passes like he doesnt give a fuck. he needs to play with some edge, drive hard, physical.

Alperen played like crap in first quarter, lots of weak turnovers. after that good play imo. Still not convinced that he is a prmary piece on a contender. but it is still too early and he is the best piece that rockets has.

  10. splat_view

Dillon brooks is back and playing well. That’s all I got

  11. I liked that lineup with Amen, Cam, and Jalen running together. Could be fun to see that more

  12. AtxSaiyan

Amen and Cam gonna be nice when Fred is ready to move on and we trade Jalen for Ausar

Amen, Cam,Tari, Brooks, Jabari, Ausar…. The defense would be insane

  13. Green should have took the fall for KPJ. KPJ would be knocking down these open 3’s.

  14. Sengun made his average game but he needs still improvements, he did great job against embiid but could not complete with offense.
About Jalen I cannot understand how he started. He vanished on the times game became a real fight then on garbage time he fills his statistics that’s all nothing more.
Only positive thing is that brooks back and gave what he had

  15. Interestingly, I think Embiid sitting down with his 5th foul was worse for the Rockets. They had finally figured out how to attack him to score to start their run and were scrambling on double teams when he was in offense.

Then he goes out, and the Sixers turn into a high speed Maxey oriented dribble penetration and 3s team again whom the Rockets seemingly do not know how to guard and the momentum shifted immediately.

This is why I’m convinced Embiid can’t actually make it work in the playoffs. When the intensity ratchets up and his play style gets game planned for over 7 games it’s actually possible to handle him on the court, unlike Jokic and the Nuggets.

  16. lachdanan13

Tate started to hurt the team for last few games; especially when he cant hit any corner three, the defenses leave him and focus on covering inside the paint fully when he’s in the game, and all offense plans getting forked.

Ime needs to find a solution to that urgently!!! (especially, if there’s no Tari for 1-2 weeks more)

Tate or Amen needs to learn shooting corner threes fast asap for spacing, or limit them, dont play them together, etc!

And Uncle Jeff is not backup C, dont force that, this team cant finish the season enough successfull if you insist on that, please find a backup C urgently, GM Stone!

  17. Separate_Presence_45

So like… Embiid easily dropped 41 on us

  18. fashionandfeetz

Offense is too slow and bogged down. Probably why Jalen looks bad. We play like it’s 2002. Not sure what our offensive scheme is besides feed Sengun. Unleash the young guns and let them run.

  19. antipoopsuperstar

13 missed FTs in what ended up being a 9 point game. Even before garbage time, the game would have been within distance if they had hit average from the line.

  20. duderello

Jalen greem -30 jesus wtf. He was good ladt year what happened

  21. Anibunnymilli

Someone needs to replace Jalen. And I think it should be Cam.
