[Brad Rowland]I am higher on Capela than most people and even i was saying this months ago The way the front office has handled Capela is in lockstep with the way they handled Collins kicking the can down the road and nuking leverage at every step

Get em Brad!

  1. sadly, another common dub from B-rad about our front office fn up trades

It’s just gross mismanagement of a franchise and Tony, Nick shit the entire FO need to be let go

  3. somebody in that FO gotta look in the mirror. if Capela is still on this team after the deadline i might fuck round and terrorize the city like Riddler

  4. hollow-ataraxia

Yup they literally have no clue how to sell high on any player

I just don’t get it why draft a center at number 6 if 4 years later he’s still coming off the bench if we are going to lose at least lose developing the young players who are supposedly our “future”

We’re about to do the same exact thing with DJM, Hunter, Bey, Bogi, and AJ.

  7. they’ve kept capela because he’s one of trae’s guys. the only center he’s had here with any offensive chemistry. trae runs this org.

Hindsight 20/20, we should’ve traded him to the Mavs during the 2023 rookie draft or sooner tbh

I was never high on Capela. I never drank the milk.

It’s honestly wild to see every offseason teams do massive changes to their roster and always looking to upgrade while we essentially do nothing. We’ll do trades but it’ll only be 1 trade in the offseason and picking up vet minimums. In the whole Trae Young era, we have NEVER did a S&T in free agency. We never get guys to replace other guys roles once traded either. For example, we traded Huerter when we got the trade for Dejounte done but messed up letting Delon walk because we still needed a backup PG. We traded JC (which is something we BEEN should have done), promoted JJ but didn’t get a backup forward. Remember, there were guys available for that position. Grant Williams, Kelly Oubre, and PJ Washington were out there. We picked up Wes Matthews lol. I’m not the biggest fan of Schlenk for his draft history but one thing he did know how to do was asset management which has been somewhat awful since he left.

Capelas are a dime a dozen, just rebound, block a shot out two, and have no plays called for them. You can play any center in the league riding the bench those minutes and get the same production. Embiid, Jokic, Sengun, and Wemby are the future. They facilitate offense and get buckets.
