    On track for 50-32

Bummer we lost, but heck of a run in 3rd and 4th, love the lobs to Wemby, we showed guts!

    GO SPURS GO!!

  2. Prize_Possession3899

    **Pros**

    * WEMBY!! Came alive in the 2nd half after going scoreless in the 1st half
    * Sochan playing well on both ends of the floor, showcasing some nice drives to the basket, shooting the 3 well, and staying active on defense, including picking Young’s pockets in the 4th leading to a Wemby fast break dunk
    * Champagnie shot well from 3
    * Wesley bringing the defensive intensity as usual, picking up Young and Murray full court
    * Nice to see McDermott come back from the ankle injury

    **Cons**

    * 1st half:

    ![gif](giphy|Wck09E7lHDabjhHbzJ|downsized)

    * Vassell and Johnson really rough shooting nights
    * Reggie Miller still saying WembenyaNa, but I appreciate the enthusiasm he and Kevin Harlan display for Wemby during the TNT broadcasts

    **Overall**

After an atrocious first half, Pop benched 3 of the 5 starters to send a message, which seemed to work. The guys showed some pride, battled back, and managed to win the 3rd quarter 33 to 18. Cut the deficit down to 8 midway through the 4th, but ultimately the deficit was too large to overcome with not enough buckets and stops to finish off the game.

    **Looking Forward**

Headed up to Boston in what should be a good test to see how much progress has been made since the last meeting a couple of weeks ago

Sochan, wemby and Wesley, what an effort in that second half, insane

  4. Bonesawisready5

Rough game but I loved second half hustle.

That said hyper bad game by Keldon. Sochan was really good

Pop benching Wemby to start 2nd clearly worked

  5. UTRAnoPunchline

Wemby might break Wilt’s Record one day

  6. Spiritual_Echo_1000

Keldon’s tunnel vision killed us this game

  7. sstewart1617

Man. Just nuts how different we looked between the two half’s.

Wesley has earned way more time IMO.

  8. Great spirit from the guys in that second half. If Vassell weren’t ice cold for the 30 minutes he was playing, we win that.

  9. ClipseForever

Sound like Trae really wants to play with Wemby

  10. thematrix185

Give me Keldons hustle over Devins invisibility act every night

  11. So many almost comebacks this season. Sochan has been amazing all season at his traditional role rather than PG. Need Devin and Keldon to start stepping up. Seems like they either drop the most efficient shooting 20+ points or straight stinkers. We have the Hawks picks, so we’ll get the last laugh when we get Cooper Flagg 😉

  12. deadknxght

i will never understand why champagnie was in the bench and a 1-11 keldon was playing in the final minutes… but anyways, LET’S FUCKING GO

  13. 1920sComedyAct

Honestly, you can’t even be mad at this.

  14. ffadicted

LOL Trae Young calling out the spurs for “sometimes not finding wemby on open looks”…. Come over Trae we’ll accept you

  15. TTUSpurs_fan

Glad we fought until the end, sochan definitely showed out. Wembys box score will look nice for ROY race. Hopefully next game all 48 minutes will be fun to watch.

  16. blue-anon

Omg, Trae mentioned the Spurs not consistently getting the ball to Wemby when he’s open. I’m not part of the “Trae’s sending a message to come to San Antonio” theory but … Lol.

  17. MisterShazam

Not Trae saying in the post game interview that wemby has open looks and we don’t get it to him.

    Come help Trae

  18. notcool_dood

Damn, Trae Young was still praising Wemby in that post game interview. Looks like his just waiting for the trade lol

  19. Spiritual_Echo_1000

Trae talking shit about the guys around Wemby rn

  20. Devin with another stinker. He really needs to stop settling and diversify his game because his value plummets when his shot isn’t falling.

  21. irrelevance_90

I think Blake might have just outplayed Malaki into the backup PG rotation. Sure he might be limited on offense, but we are so bad at defending the PG spot that he’s our best chance at containing the other teams’ guards.

  22. aaronlovescrypto

You can tell from Traes post game interview he really wants to play with Wemby

  23. juantravis

Spurs kept it close, wemby flashed brilliance, and we got a better draft pick. I’ll live with it

  24. Wemby was insane for sure but there were some great passes by Sochan to Wemby. I can’t believe I’m seeing comments on Sochan being poor recently. Huge improvement and impacts the game so much especially on the defensive end

  25. thedam100

Sochan carried us. Forget the rough moments he really willed us back. Super proud of him. Wemby did… wemby things, I don’t even know how to describe that second half. He literally took over the game but unfortunately not enough time. Unsung hero for me was blake. He is abysmal on offense but on DEFENSE he was a difference maker. It was exactly the perimeter defense we need on a regular basis. I am praying he continues to develop because he will be amazing if his offense develops as well as his defense.

I’m just gonna not talk about Keldon and Vassell for a while.

  26. solonharmony

At the end there Vic was talking to Trae, then Tre sneaks from behind to listen in. Was funny lol

  27. Well that’s why you can’t be terrible for half the game but I’m more disappointed at keldon. Dude was the definition of basketball terrorism today. First half was the worst we’ve played but the second half was some of the best they have played and almost snuck out with a win. Blake played outta his mind on d to start the second half and deservingly so woke up everyone else around him. He’s been very quickly shooting up the depth chart for that effort and defense. He’s come along way Jermey was about the only consistently through out the whole thing but he def got better through out the game. Victor in typical form starting very slow and goes off once the game goes on. He needs to work on starting better on offense. But in the fourth he was generally unbelievable. Devin was bad today and didn’t play that much as pop was forced to go to players who wanted to play. Keldon you fucking sucked today. Besides the end where he was god awful the ball just ends with him when you pass to him. He has the chance to be irreplaceable on the bench and is choosing to have his ego get in the way. Thought pop coached pretty well. He messed with so many lineups and ended up finding some that worked. They also changed to not letting trae walk alll over then and he honestly was a bit flustered.

  28. samackin3000

Holy shit, I wanna slap Reggie Miller. WembanyaNa. Nah bruv, it’s WembanyaMa…
