I also saw the report that they were trying to package Capella with Murray. I would imagine Capella is a negative asset
Atlanta’s initial asking price is a a surprisingly low amount for the 27y/o former All-star / All-defensive point guard, if this report has any truth. The inevitable trade in the coming weeks could easily be less than that.
This is an great opportunity to buy low on a very promising talent. Our scoring distribution when Embiid plays is very top-heavy compared to the other contenders, and I’d be very uncomfortable with a Boston rematch as the team is current constructed.
Does Daryl pull the trigger on Murray here in a seemingly weak trade market?
I mean shit, I’d do two 1st and matching expiring (does morris and Cov work?) in a heartbeat. He’s not a perfect fit, but I think him and Maxey actually complement quite well
Wasn’t the asking price on OG like 4 FRP’s? They got Quickley and a bag of peanuts for him…
So with that precedent set I guess that means we can get Murray for Morris, KJ, and a second rounder.
Morris and 2 Firsts seems extremely reasonable for a solid Starting Guard on a relatively good contract. He’s worse than Lavine but makes almost $20 mil less per year.
Cov, Kork and 2 1sts works
I’d much rather have Siakam because I think he’s a better fit, but I guess the asking price for him might be unreasonably higher.
Shit if they want that little we can probably get him for a first, a couple seconds and Mook+filler
All over this. Make the trade
Depends on the firsts. Not giving up the 2028 pick for him
The asking price is only part of the equation. Idk enough about the cap situation, but I know trading for Murray, by itself, probably wouldn’t elevate the Sixers to a championship caliber team, so it depends what else they’re able to do with the remaining trade assets and cap space.
I’m very split on Murray. I know he would be a talent upgrade, but I’m not certain about his fit offensively and how the spacing would look with him and Embiid.
Murray would be a great aquisition. I’m much more excited about this trade than most of the others that have been floating around.
That sounds about right imo
I haven’t followed him too closely the last couple years. But I remember coming from SA he was considered a very good defender, good scorer, bad shooter and a bad attitude. Anything change since then?
Dejounte’s games against the celtics in the playoff s last year are very encouraging
Murray and bogdanovic for morris cov kork amd 2 firsts. Call it in Daryl.
PG – Murray
SG – Maxey
SF – Melt
PF – Batum
C – Embiid

How do Nets ask for same return as Murray for Finney-Smith, 2 1st?
For a guy with a 21/4/4 line?

What do we have to give up? I’d deal RoCo which is like $12M and an attractive expiring contract. Korkmaz would be another expiring contact we could lose. I’d deal Springer if he has value to them. I imagine that might get us in the ballpark of his current salary. Obviously the picks have to provide the most value in the deal. But I have a hard time thinking something like that will be the best offer that they’d get for him.
He’s mid
[watching the end of the birds game] just fucking get it done
Negative player, no thanks
Is there a reason he’s been moved twice? I don’t like the hawks/trae young. I know the spurs tanked. Just trying to dot the i’s and cross the t’s.
Bad teammate? Empty stats?
Or is that he just hasn’t been in the right situation? Because if that’s the case…he’d be a hell of a get.
