Feels like the confidence and aggression he had at start of season kinda slipping away
Could also be fatigue

Hard to be The Guy on offense when you’re also expected to handle the toughest defensive assignment
He also has people he can finally pass to in Quickley and RJ but I digress
I know he’s not the POA guy all the time, but it’s a mis-use of his defensive abilities.
He was only good in his rookie season ngl, he has been ass after with some occasional hot streak.
He’ll get more looks once Siakam gets traded. Too many mouths to feed on your team rn.
He’s gotta adjust to 2 new starters who both also need the ball more than players before. Growing pains imo.
rj gonna try to make it his team now that’s he’s the maple boy back home.. dude takes up 10 contested shots a night. he definitely makes some though lol
if scottie isn’t aggressive it won’t be his team anymore. and im the biggest scottie fan in the world. if you’re gonna play like sabonis’ soft ass you won’t be that dude. stop passing and dunk on these bums.

He has been the primary defender on the opposing teams best player. He has guarded Bron,AD,Fox,Curry,Tatum and more these past few games. He is probably a little gassed offensively but I think he will be fine given a little more time.
I also think Scottie is looking to get everyone else going and letting IQ and RJ cook more as they get settled
He will only be better after Masai trade Darko’s son out.
This is gonna be rjs team when the raptors matter again and we just need to figure out the dynamic. Once pascals gone they can start settling in
He’s just not playing that well at the moment. Tonight was a really rough game from a ball handling standpoint as well. A few really careless, costly live-ball turnovers. One of which came from an attempted no-look pass on a 3-on-1 fast break.
This is a Darko issue, not a Scottie issue. OG was the main defensive stopper and catch and shoot. He benefited Scottie in no other way. Now if you’re the main defensive stopper, you can’t be the man on Offence either.
It’s almost like there’s more mouths to feed on offence?
He’s gonna be asking for a rookie max extension very soon and people still give him every excuse in the book. He can’t be having these type of stretches if he wants that big contract plain and simple
I would like to see Scottie taking the ball out and running more pick and roll with Quickley. They pass it back and forth to much and sometimes looks like they just go through the motions trying to figure out who’s going to do something with the ball. The pick and roll action between them could be amazing and kick out to open shooters would happen more often in my opinion.
Scottie has along way to go I’d be hesitant to give max extension if he doesn’t develop
This is the holding pattern until we ship out siakam and the lineup is quick / X / RJ / Scottie / yak
Stars get theirs no matter who is on the court
He needs to take on more defensive responsibilities which leads to fatigue which means less energy to grab rebounds and be the primary ball handler. Plus IQ and RJ eat more ball time and take more shots.
Idk why his shooting % is down, probably just a small slump that he can come out of eventually.
Sometimes having him do less offensively is more because it leads to more effort and defensive effectiveness.

IQ and RJ each individually need the ball more than OG. So yea lol he’s taking a bit of a backseat.
I do feel like he’s being polite like… letting the new guys feel at home and get comfortable. I really hope he starts to pick it up instead of regress to last year. The best part really is that he’s so unselfish. Truly hoping he keeps pushing ahead tho.
RJ and Quickley are both gonna take near 20 shots a night, so it’s expected. If we want to develop Scottie more, Siakam needs to go and Scottie needs to play with those two better.
Well Barrett the throw in is averaging like 7-8 boards and 15 points so there’s that

Too many cooks in the kitchen now. OG was a passive scorer and he was replaced with two aggressive scorers and ball handlers in IQ and RJ.
Along with Pascal there’s just not enough touches to go around for all 4 to be 20+ scorers each night.
