promising trend! 15-25 minutes is great as long as ddv continues to play well

  2. Is it weird that I was expecting more from Grimes?

I thought he was gonna pop off after the IQ trade, but Duece has lapped him in terms of production and impact.

I wanna believe he can make things work here, but he’s pretty much a dead man waiting to be traded…

I like the kid and I hope he finds success but I don’t see a reality where we keep him. He can shoot the three no doubt but that’s basically it lol. His dribbling is meh at best, he doesn’t really have any midrange moves, he used to drive to the basket more often as a rookie but for whatever reason doesn’t even bother anymore, and he doesn’t really create offense if he isn’t shooting. As seen by his 1.3 assist per game, he isn’t a facilitator.

hes okay, getting better, but lets be honest hes the first up besides fournier to trade

This is an example of stats not telling a story.

When he shoots, he makes them. That’s great.

But at one point he had as many shots as Flynn, which isn’t acceptable. He needs to be more assertive and disappears too often.

Knicks fans are so frustrating lol. Hart has had a rough stretch the last few games, but Grimes was in a huge slump basically for the whole season before we made the trade. So glad dude is playing better now, but c’mon, it’s been like two weeks. It’s not some great crime that Thibs isn’t playing him 35+ mins a game like some people are making it out to be 😭

  7. Josh hart playing more than him yesterday was sickening and was a big reason we lost

  8. Jerry west wanted him over quickley and rj. Idk if he will ever become an elite player but for that reason alone grimes should be untouchable and needs to get a chance to develop like IQ did. Hes probably one of the best talent evaluators ever so it means something.

One day, he will be a 4th or 5th option starter for a middling team. That’s not what’s being built here

Remember when we coulda traded Grimes, Quick, Obi, and some picks for a HoF SF and we didn’t?

People were complaining about IQ’s minutes for a while until we traded him. It’s likely the Front Office was limiting his usage so that he wouldn’t get injured.

It’s been similarly vexxing as to why Grimes’ usage is so low despite playing well this season. Seems like the writing is on the wall and it’s a question of when, not if, he’ll be traded.
