Three firsts for a guy that will probably leave in the summer? Make it make sense

  2. Pacers Twitter is so happy about this. Good for them, I guess…

  3. fuzzynavel34

If it’s both picks this year and a future pick that’s pretty good for us…

  4. SpinJitsu259

If two of the picks are the first rounders from this draft, then that’s not a bad.

  5. JustBengals19

If it is just 3 first round picks I pull the trigger immediately. We can’t even play our current first round pick so what is the point of keeping them if not for this?

  6. pakattack91

If yall pull this trigger, I’m telling you Pascal is not leaving Indy, because you’re paying him (otherwise why 3 firsts for a rental).

Pascal wants his bag, deservedly. If it goes down, he will too legit on your roster with 4 proper floor spacers, it’s gonna be beautiful and I’ll be rooting for ya!

lol 3 first round picks just for him to bolt to Philly this offseason 😂

    NO. NOOOO.

    #NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I’d honestly be OK with it if the trade is contingent on a contract extension.

Potential half season rental for 3 first round picks 🤯 I already believed 2 was already too much.

  11. Ok-Swimming8024

The ONLY way this makes sense is if we truly believe we can lock him up in FA. No matter who the players attached to the trade are.

IF it’s the 24 firsts and a 26 conditional first, I’m fine with it. we don’t have the roster space for the 24 guys, and if he leaves, the condition might pivot it to 2nds.

Pascal is instantly THE number 2 guy, and is an all nba level. This is great if we manage to re sign him, if not, it’s not the end of the world IMO, depending on what’s given up. If we do however, that’s great.

Listen yall…it is what it is…nothing we can do…let’s just support the organization and pray for the best. We wanted stars to join Haliburton…some times you have to close your eyes and hope for the best…get tyrese back and go on a run and clinch homecourt for the playoffs.

  14. Funny-Transition7869

id rather overpay for markannen than do this deal

  15. CookiemonsterTP

Why are people getting so upset about giving up 3 first round picks that will more than likely not be near the lottery considering we should only get better from here. You’re adding an all star and fringe all nba player (albeit a rental at worst case). We’ve drafted Jarace with pick 6 and he doesn’t even get minutes. It’s also not out of the imagination to say we can’t trade for first picks if needed down the road. This is a huge get

We have a ton of young talent and this years draft is not good, trading the picks is fine as the team is already very deep. This also makes Indy a more desirable free agent location, I’m fine with this as long as the picks are lottery protected.

  17. AdCreepy9825

Can pascal be extended by Toronto before the trade or has that window already closed ?

  18. afropoppa

Pascal Siakam about to help you guys win a chip – he’s so good at basketball. Enjoy.

  19. MKEHOME91

Why the fuck are so many people upset about 3 picks? We have no room for the 24 picks anyways so that’s one extra pick and hope he resigns… if not then we have 30+ million to lure someone else. This front office has done well, no reason to doubt them now

  20. DomantasLevert

If this trade happens, the fans will be upset until they see him and Haliburton on the floor together

  21. Glitchy__Guy

Siakam peaked 2 years ago. Why give up 3 future picks for his sunset years when we spent a top 10 picks at the same position this past year? Just fucking play Walker and let him progress.

  22. This sub and overvaluing dogshit first round picks. Name a more iconic duo.

  23. I have no clue how this will play out long term for us, but it’s refreshing to see this team as active buyers and aggressive for once. Times are changing, and I’m cautiously optimistic he re-signs after the season

  24. StefonDiggsHS

Hey guys hopped into the trade machine and it looks tough to make happen unless a 3rd team is involved. Matching salaries become very difficult even with you guys having 8mil in cap room. Here is some scenarios

    matching the salary is interesting.

Siakam is making 38mil this year.

Pacers have 8 mil in cap room.

    I only see two options

Pacers get Siakam (38 mil) Temple (5mil)

Raptors get Buddy Hield (22mil) Bruce brown (22 mil) picks

You can also do Siakam+koloko for Hield+Jalen Smith + (one of Toppin, Mathurin, Walker or Nesmith) and picks

that works but I dont see them wanting to trade Toppin, Benny, Walker or Nesmith. I could maybe see toppin he is an expiring this year.

Adding a Poetl, Boucher, Thad Young makes it really difficult to match salaries.

Either someone gets fleeced, waived or theres a third team involved

edit: saw some things about Bruce Brown rather than Hield being traded but I am honestly surprised by that. whats ur guys thoughts?

  25. Friar_Ferguson

If we make this trade it sends a message to Tyrese that we want to win and we would be contenders this season. Odds are good we can resign him. We haven’t exactly drafted great in the mid to late first anyways.

  26. FishermanJealous445

Does this mean that it is currently happening like it could happen in the next hours or days

  27. bryceman95

We are officially a strong Mathurin jump or one trade for a disgruntled star away from legitimate contention if this goes through. Zero crocodile tears over a couple of draft picks in the 20s. Exciting times!
