Still not too late for a win streak!!
There was a discussion in yesterday’s DT that shows just how divorced this fanbase is from reality. When faced with the question of why the old LA Clippers are doing well, theories from lesser wear to different playstyles made the rounds – those assumptions are partly correct, but fail to address the giant pink elephant in the room: the LA Clippers understand that they must be a win-now team, act accordingly and have built their roster around that fact.
You know how many minutes the Clippers have given this season to players 25 years old or younger? 653. To put that number into perspective: Moses Moody stands at 611. Yes, the same 21-year old Moses Moody whom the fanbase always complains about not getting enough and inconsistent playing time has played almost as many minutes as all the Clippers players younger than Zubac *combined*.
That is why the Clippers succeed and we fail right now. Steve Ballmer is paying for success *now*. Joe Lacob is still persistent in his two-timeline delusion. As long as the Warriors pursue this folly, this team is going nowhere. MDJ must either sell off the young players or send the big 3 packing. Any other option will only continue this limbo.
