The Cavs Sign Pete Nance To 10-Day Contract (Cleveland Cavaliers)
What’s up guys we got a bit of news last night as it was reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers have signed Pete Nance to a 10-day contract of course that last name should sound very familiar to you especially if you are a Cavs fan Pete is the younger brother of
Larry n Jr and Son of lar n senior who both suited up for the Cavaliers so that last name carries significant pedigree around Cleveland now here’s the thing prior to the signing Cleveland had just 13 players rostered this comes after the recent retirement of point guard Ricky
Ruby which let the team pondering what to do to get that spot filled and for those of you unfamiliar with the roster requirement rules the NBA necessitates that his teams can carry only 13 players for a maximum of just two weeks the timing is the important part here though
With Rubio agreeing to a buyout on January 4th the deadline was swiftly approaching and instead of pulling from the depths of the free agent Market the team elected to give Nance a shot after all the hard work he has put in with the Cavs g-league affiliate the Cleveland charge
Now just as a quick reminder if you’ve forgotten Pete was an undrafted free agent before the Caps eventually signed him to an exhibit 10 contract this followed a pretty solid collegiate career at both Northwestern and North Carolina he followed that up with a very solid showing in summer league action
Which prompted the Caps to sign him to a non-guaranteed camp deal which ultimately got him the chance to suit up for the charge across his 22 combined appearances for the charge consisting of the G League showcase and regular season Nance has put up averages of 13.3 points 7.6 rebounds three assists and 1.4
Blocks Nance has noticeable Bounce has length as He’s listed at 610 with a 7ot wingspan and comes equipped with a high basketball IQ reminiscent of his brothers and will provide some much needed dep to a Cavs fron court that is still missing the likes of Evan Moy Pete
N’s versatile nature should make him an interesting option in the short term for this Cavs team he leaves the charge in Blocks he’s second in rebounds he’s third in assist but the biggest thing that sticks out to me in particular particular about his game is his ability
To space the floor something that was missing from the front Court by and large last season and while the Cavs managed to shore this up by bringing in Sharpshooter George Nang Nance comes with traditional big size so far on the season he has knocked down 35.6% of his three-point attempts on pretty solid
Volume 4.1 attempts to be exact that is the type of production I love for our current baks to have he is very comfortable knocking down that type of shot and he can do so from either the power forward or Center position just imagine some of the lineups that the
Cavs can Trot out with that level of spacing from the five if the Cavs like what they see forance they could elect to sign him to a second 10day deal before the NBA’s tread deadline if no moves are made at the deadline the Caps could easily convert Craig Porter Jr’s
Two-way deal and hand it to Nance therefore locking him up in Winding gold for the remainder of the year it’s all about timing what do you think of this signing does Pete Nance actually have a chance at getting real run let me know in the comments go Caps
The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed F Pete Nance of the Cleveland Charge to a 10-Day Contract! Will he make an impact for the Cavs?

I love the Nance family and it is very cool to see the Cavs give him a potential shot on a NBA court. I don't believe JB will find suitable time for Nance but I would like to see how he moves and reacts to plays at the NBA level. I hope we can see a few minuets time to time with him.
What do they say – “you can’t teach size” – and Nance’s shooting and athleticism popped a bit in summer league to me – nice move by Cavs
What he can offer defensively will probably determine how many minutes he gets. I'm glad to see him get an opportunity and i hope it works out. Go CAVS. Btw there are no charge highlights from that elf uniform game LMFAO
Nah he won’t get no real run but it’s a cool move but im with u on the convert CPJ contract & give Pete a two way deal.
JB will not even give him a chance. Been keeping Isiah Mobley down in the G league with absolutely no minutes on the Cavs
Why didn't the Cavs go after Pascal Siakam??? He torches us every time we go against him. Are the Cavs trying to do anything trade wise?
