Ime Udoka after Rockets loss to Knicks: “We regressed in a lot of areas.”

You know here we go here we go when were all the Mysteries what did you feel about the shot selection in the execution I felt we had some decent looks that we normally make um but also had some poor possessions where we force shots and tried to search

For fouls way too much um kind of looking at the rough to bail us out and um instead of just going to play and so yeah we missed some open threes especially I think Fred in the first half but um and some poor possessions as

Well so it was a little mixed bag there I know that’s just before but was some of what we saw a reaction to some frustration either from missing those good shots or from just a rough road to a little bit of both you make you know missing shots that you typically make

And obviously being down I think two a halftime we didn’t play that well offensively but I felt we competed in the first half and uh a step up from the Philly and Boston games as far as that but um yeah when you’re missing those shots you have some frustration but you

Have to stick with hunt good shots and I think uh some guys Tred to do a one-on-one a few times and like I said search for fouls and instead of just playing so a little combination of both I seem like that timeout early in the fourth quarter you seemed a little

Frustrated with against the pace in which you had gain your offense what did you see on that end in terms of standing and not executing the play um you know and and against a team that’s very physical uh you have to obviously play with some Pace in half court set screens

Get your guys open create an advantage and um we’re standing around kind of looking at each other like we didn’t know we were doing so um that’s where that frustration was from you obvious got a young group we’re trying to kind of move it along when you have a stretch

Like this where you have Boston Philly New York in a row what can you learn as a group for stuff down the road even if the immediate results are not what you’re looking for yeah it takes a certain level of competition and and we didn’t do that in these games like I

Said I think we’re a little bit better tonight um but when it came down to it they played harder um got more loose balls and so you don’t even give yourself a chance if you don’t compete at that level and so obviously disappointing road trip we regressed in

A lot of areas and I think um from our toughness and physicality and competitive standpoint took a step back as far as that so yeah it’s a little bit better than the Boston Philly game but um not good enough against a team that plays extremely hard and so um looked

Very soft across the board in a lot of ways thank you coach thank you thank you

  1. Ime, if your players are standing around watching, why don't you pull them out of the game and chew their asses out? Rocket fans know what's going on. Why wasn't Jabari getting more shots? He was on tonight. Cam was not getting open when he was in. Do you ever run players off double picks? I think Stone is telling you who to play. You don't have to put up with that. You can get a coaching job anywhere.

  2. When your pick and roll is just focus on 2 people, Over and Over Again. You will lost most of the time. It's s tiring to watch, leave the Boston system. It's not fit on rockets..
