Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with his first triple-double of the season and third of his career with 28 points (season-high 7-11 3PT, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists as CJ McCollum (22 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 3PT) and Jordan Hawkins (21 points, 6 rebounds, 6 3PT) totaled 43 points. LaMelo Ball (29 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists) and Terry Rozier (25 points, 7 3PT) led Charlotte. New Orleans improve to 25-17 as the Hornets lose their sixth straight and move to 8-30.
This was Jordan Hawkins fifth game of the season with 5 or more 3PT, which leads all rookies (16 total occurrences). Five such games of 5 or more 3PT sets a new mark for rookies in franchise history (previously: Marcus Thornton with 4 games, 2009-10).

Lamelo is not a franchise player calibre, he is at most a good role player. Hornets needs to not build ard lamelo and trade him away for chance to get a good young star to build ard before competitors realized he is not as good
