Trey Lyles on the Sacramento Kings’ self-inflicted losses to the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns

Feel to get back here sorry uh how does it feel to get you back here be back in the home gym after that 5game road trip uh it feels great um we were G fi like for a while but uh just a Qui home stand and we’re

Back on the roow but uh I’m pretty sure everybody’s pretty happy to be back Trey what do you make of the last couple of games they’ve been tough losses but would you I I don’t know if you want to compare losses but would you rather have that kind of learning experience versus

What happened against Philly I rather win both of them they’re both self-inflicted I think um I think a lot of guys would think that um but rather have a you know closer games I think Philly game just didn’t shoot the ball well it wasn’t like we were just

Terrible all the way around didn’t shoot the ball well in these last two games just like I said like I said we just did it to ourselves you know down the stretch in both the games we should have won Cher we just saw you guys working on

Free throws like and it’s every day we’re here what do you guys feel like you struggle at the line when it comes to game time and and rank class in the league in that category could tell you you know we step up to the line we’re not making our free thres which is

Something that I think if we I think we all think if we we were better at we’d have a couple more wins this year you talked about those last two losses and just the brutal way that they played out um if there’s anything to take from that or any loaning experience or silver

Lining what would you say that is we have to play 48 minutes um we have to knock down free throws have to take care of the ball from your Viewpoint what was wrong down the stretch for you guys like the slow down the ball movement what’s going

Through you guys mind uh we were definitely lack of day school yesterday down stretching to Fourth turning the ball over um just kind of being lazy on offense and then defensively we were not matching up we were leaving hot guys guys that we consider you know good

Three-point shoot was wide open and they were making shot so like I said earlier self loss was there anything about that uh no our rotations just weren’t there um we weren’t we weren’t locked in defensively and like I said the guys are just getting open look so

They were they were knocking them down does it feel like some of these have kind of come with a a heavy weight to them just in terms of how the trip went and how some of those unfolded yeah cuz uh that’s a trip we could have went 4

In1 on um and like I said it was self-inflicted so it makes it a little little harder to to get over when how do you just kind of maybe get over some of those things I know it’s kind of lingered over the past couple weeks but you still have a fantastic

Record overall uh we got a game tomorrow so you know we got to we got to let it go and and learn from our mistakes watch film and and know what we got to go out there and do better and perform so we got to you know next game up so we got

To be ready for tomorrow’s game cool thanks guys thanks appreciate you

  1. Trey needs to step up to his game some more. I'd kike to see Trey be more aggressive and dominant on the court. He has the skills to get to another hugher level. He just needs to turn it up another notch and realize he can do it.
