Tyler Herro is shooting 44% at the rim

“Tyler Herro is shooting 44% at the rim, second percentile. How is he one of the worst finishers in the league? ” – gnavas103 [ ](https://twitter.com/gnavas103/status/1747822504654012669)

  1. I don’t give a shit what the numbers say, I just wanna see TEAM winning basketball, like what we saw in Brooklyn.

  2. not only that, but he almost never even gets to the rim in the first place

dude is garbage. in the playoffs when teams shut down the screens, he’s gonna be lucky to score 15 ppg

It’s why I tried saying Sexton would be a good fit for us. Martin is the only player on our team who can legitimately “blow by” his defender with any consistency. Herro is a great player but doesn’t have the combination of size/length/athleticism to be a consistent finisher at the rim.

His archetype is the exact kind of player that will struggle in a playoff setting

**The** **Miami Heat** **have a 111.3 offensive rating with** **Tyler Herro** **this season.**

**The** **Miami Heat** **have an offensive rating of 119.9 without** **Tyler Herro** **this season.**

  6. Herro averaging 19 FGA per game is insanity with his inefficiency. He should shoot the same amount of 3 pointers his shooting right now(8 per game) but the inside the arc game seriously need to get toned down.

Herro needs to rebrand into a 3 and D player. He’s trying to be Devin Booker, but he’s crap at everything on offense except jump shooting so he just hurts the team with his ball hog tendencies.

He loves to shoot the floater, but refuses to hit it off the backboard. Trying to float it directly in, is a much harder shot with less margin for error.

44% at the rim is not good.  You’re at the rim, why would 44% be good?  That’s layup and dunk range.

Goran Dragic was finishing in the 60s at the rim before his body gave out.

Tyler Herro is a good player. He is not a bad player but he should not be your lead guard if you’re trying to win a championship. He just doesn’t fit the mold of star guards.

Where are the Herro apologists who don’t watch these games?

  12. BillBRawlins

That’s horrible but the biggest issue is his inability to stay in front of his man on defense. A smart team is going to play him off the floor in the playoffs. The Heat are seriously fucking their playoff chances if they do not get some POA defenders at the deadline.

Herro is a really good player. He’s an amazing shooter. I think the problem is Herro tries to be something he’s not. He’s not a 3 level scorer. He’s not going to just put down his shoulder and get a bucket.

It’s not a bad thing, just gets annoying when he plays like he’s something he’s not.

Jimmy and to a lesser extent Jaimie are our bucket getters. Not sure that’s going to be enough come playoff time.

  14. I love that Herro is a confident player. I cringed a bit when he said he should be in the same conversation as Luka and T Young. Luka can carry a team which I don’t think Herro can.

I keep saying this since the dawn of time, BRING HIM OFF THE BENCH and start duncan. It’s just makes way more sense for him to be efficient torching second unit players, he is not efficient against first units

Our OTG with him and bam and butler is awful.

    It’s been awful for years

He needs to lead the second unit. Not because he sucks. Because it’s the best fit.

  17. He tries too hard to score. He’d be better off making more plays for his teammates
