Poorest Defensive Impact per EPM (min 400 min): 20th Josh Richardson

He should be the odd wing out when this team is fully healthy

  1. Hate to say it, but Spo trusts him a bit too much. When I see him as a closer in the 4th quarter, I am just smh.

I mean he’s a minimum player idk what yall expected.

To see this makes his high playing time baffling because his offensive output is even more atrocious and it makes no sense why he has one of the higher shot attempts on the team.

I just know spo is gonna close with him in a playoff game and it’ll be a shit show

Man this makes me sad. Jrich is a good dude but hard to tell if he’s just going through the motions now or just literally can’t learn and adapt anymore

we’re 41 games into the regular season: of course Spo’s gonna keep putting JRich in the blender guarding top guys in the closing stretch. this sub loves to tout that Spo is the greatest coach in the NBA, but the second his actions don’t instantly reflect occam’s razor regular season wins, it’s “Spo might be wrong on this one”. these games are consequence-less and he’s trying to acclimate JRich to high-difficulty assignments for him to figure it out before the games start to matter

making guys fight for their lives out there in uncomfortable assignments is kind of what Spo’s been doing for years to turn guys into high-level players lol
