[Scotto] The Hawks are not looking to take back salary past this season, league sources told HoopsHype. With that in mind, the Lakers have been arguably the team most linked to Murray due to his representation at Klutch Sports, the agency for various Lakers on the current team.

Fuck those goobers. Make it happen Daryl
This seems like an obvious trigger pull to me. We instantly turn a Maxey-Melton-PatBev backcourt into a Maxey-Murray-Melton backcourt for the playoffs. Iâm quite positive nobody in here wants to see Pat Bev minutes in the second round.
Aside from that he has a 4 year extension after this year that commands only 17% of the salary cap.
I think he would fit well with Maxey in sharing PG duties, as neither are true point guards and Maxey has a lot of experience playing off ball the last two seasons with Harden. We also wouldnât have to rely on a melton/Beverly backcourt to create offense in non-Maxey minutes. People have mentioned he isnât the defender he used to be this year, but I think a change of scenery from the meddling Hawks to a contender does a lot to put the fire back into someone on defense.
Maxey is a Klutch guy and we have a ton of expiringsâŠ
The less we give up, the better. I know, Captain Obvious over here, but they really don’t have leverage. Something tells me Morey views Murray as a lesser move, and he doesn’t want to give up any real draft capital. If we wait, someone might overpay, but that’s not our problem.
Windhorst said in his most recent podcast that Murray has a pretty big trade kicker so his reasonable salary might not be as reasonable if Sixers get him.Â
I personally just think another team will trade for Murray+Hunter/Capela/Bogdanovic and take more bad contracts then Morey will be willing to take on.
Morris+Roco+Martin+1sts+2nds for Murray+Hunter is very interesting though.
Murray-Maxey-Harris-Batum-Embiid
Bench Melton Hunter Oubre Reed Beverly
DEEEEEEEP team and a ton of versatility.
