All 5 Celtics starters are top 10 in each category. Unbelievable. Real shot for at least 3, if not 4. Next closest are Lakers and Clippers with 3 each. Either Boston is really good at stuffing ballot box or our team is getting serious national recognition. Although can’t believe how many guys with a ton of missed games are in the voting (Moran in 8th in west?)

3 front-court players in the top 6 is kind of crazy. Brown and Tatum probably both end up getting in. Porzingis has a good shot too, but idk if White is getting in.

It is amazing how consistent these are. Since the last update, it is exactly the same 20 East players, with 19 of them being in the same spot as before (Paolo has passed Randle for 8th), and with nearly the identical percentages as each player had the last time (i.e., the roughly 6 million more votes for the Eastern Conference have been distributed to the same players in the same proportions). In the West, 18 of the 20 players are the same and 17 of those are in the same position (Ja Morant has understandably fallen off a bit).
Either there is a consensus that “these are the best 42 or so players in the NBA, and they are ranked in pretty much this exact order by acclimation,” or the same fans are casting the same votes over and over again, and almost no one else is.
Tatum definitely gets in, Brown probably gets in, Porzingis is close but I feel like he’ll get the 11th or 12th spot. So my thinking is 2 for sure and maybe 3 if the voting goes the way it should.
What do people see in Embiid? He can be so painful to watch flopping and foul grifting.

Celtics have 14 games before the all-star break. It is realistic to expect 11 wins there.
A 43-12 team should absolutely be expected to have 3 all-stars. That’s a 64-win projection. An argument could even be made for 4 all-stars
