Um you know Dei was uh a close friend of nias um Ogie obviously the Serbian basketball Community uh Dei meant a lot to a lot of people left behind an amazing uh Legacy yeah he impacted lives and it’s just tragic you know at that young age for him to have that um when

We knew he was in the hospital I reached out to Steve Kerr and he got right back to me he was at the hospital with Dey and his family and uh when he ultimately passed Steve let me know that he had passed and he wanted me to know that you

Know Dey how much Dey loved Nicole and how proud he was of him and that’s all I just tried to share with Nicole like I just went through this with my father losing somebody you care about is really hard and uh the most important thing for

Nico to know is that uh Dey did love him and now it’s up to nicoa to carry on his legacy on the court off the court how he lives and to make sure that you know dey’s name is just continued to be talked about and uh you know it’s

Unfortunate and we we all just are thinking about Dey and his family and the whole Warrior staff like East Co

Dejan Milojević, a mentor to two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic and a former star player in his native Serbia, died Wednesday in Utah after suffering a heart attack. He was 46.

Jokic and the Denver Nuggets are in Boston, preparing to play the Celtics on Friday. Jokic chose not to speak to the media on Thursday, but his head coach Michael Malone did.

Milojević is survived by his wife, Natasa, and their children, Nikola and Masa.

  1. Really sad day for basketball lovers worldwide but especially Serbia. Money and fame is awesome but nothing beats amazing down to earth human beings. Health, love and happiness to all. RIP Deki ❤

  2. Wonder why the team didn’t travel with medical staff or equipment. What a tragedy. Sending thoughts and prayers to his family and the Dubs.

  3. And Nikola is just the man to carry on for Serbia. He is, as was Deki, a gentleman in every sense of the word, and a great ambassador for his country.
