Unc & Gil react to Steve Kerr saying Warriors Big 3 has more years left to contend in NBA | Nightcap

Hey guys it’s your favorite Unk here go ahead and click that subscribe button below so you don’t miss a single episode of night cap that button right here come for the sports stay for the stories Steve KT says this season is not the last dance for the Warriors big

Three all three of those guys are capable of playing at a high level we did win a championship in case people forgot a year and a half ago said Kurt on 95.7 The Game we’re in a we’re in a different stage of our existence as a

Team but I believe in my guys I love those guys and we’re going to keep fighting yes excuse me the problem is two of those three guys can’t play at that level consistently anymore only one guy can and their lie the problem it’s not that they can’t yes we’ve seen uh clay

Have moments where he go get 28 30 plus but those moments are few and far between yeah like so that’s that’s the issue that that that they’re that he’s that they’re having G yeah you don’t have the cons you don’t have the consistency of your greatness anymore corre right

And his speech is more loyalty than is reality right this is loyalty talk not reality talk right you have one player that’s that’s great and then you have your your second best player is playing he’s he’s playing way below um expectations right you know his play

Right now is fourth option at best and um that’s not the same three even though they won a championship you know a year and a half ago you don’t have the same three right you know you know Draymond is winding down but just like anything draymond’s presence is with

Greatness when you’re not playing great he looks crazy yes right you know when you’re playing great he’s the perfect guy for greatness when Dennis Rodman is winning championships he is great you start putting him on bad teams and he he’s taking his shoes he’s taking his

Shoes off lay down on the sideline get his ass up on out of here right and that’s that’s where this team is and what I would tell Steve Kerr okay you won a championship a year and a half ago if clay playing at that level a year and

A half ago no is Andrew Wiggins playing at that level now Andrew Wiggins is on the bench so he’s not playing at that level is Draymond playing at that level Draymond just missed 16 games so he’s not playing at that level so although what you saying is absolutely correct

You did win a championship a year and a half ago but tell me other than Steph Curry who’s playing at that level that you won that Championship zero and that’s the problem you know it’s it it’s the Hope like I guess as a coach as a player as a player you

Appreciate this yes but as a player you need to have a reality check and realize he’s supposed to say this he’s supposed to say this what what was he supposed to say oh yeah you know these guys are playing like this he’s supposed to sound like us no so as a

Player you need to understand that what he’s saying is isn’t reality and my ass is about to be up out of here I could be traded any day now so I need to really lock in like I don’t know if of course everyone is like the fear the fear of being

Traded should be driving you to to be successful right I don’t think sometimes people understand that the fear of me losing my spot the fear of somebody taking the fear someone’s trying to take like clay the fear that when you hit the summer you’re not going to get the money

You want that should have you locked into a whole another dimension of a player they ain’t no going home and hanging on a godamn boat I don’t no I don’t got no boat today I supposed to be in that gym locked in because I’m afraid that I’m not g to get this

Contract I think the thing is but Gil correct me if I’m wrong this is the first time that trade that clay name has come up in trade discussions so he’s entering Uncharted Territory where things that he never had to worry about before is now a realization it could be his reality

Yeah yeah yeah it it is you’re right you’re right this is this is a rude awakening yeah you know and and you know it’s it’s that we all go through it it’s that that we we start feeling bad for ourselves and I think this is where he’s

At or he was trying to get out of it like I feel sorry for myself versus just saying man this is the basketball this is the game it ain’t you know they don’t anymore I’m going you know that happened Lamar Odin when he got traded to Dallas

Or when the idea of that Chris Paul trade going and he felt hurt personally he never recovered from that no he never recovered from that yeah but the question is let me ask you because of so much of what clay success is tied to Golden State do you

Think he can have can he have success somewhere else other than Golden State well let me tell you this right now uh oh uh oh if you Steve Kerr and this is your legacy right championships right winning pedigree do you have room to lose see that that’s what happened with

Phil Jackson you get you start getting some losing teams they want your ass out of there right because just like Russell and this triple double we expect we expect something with that res to me so you don’t have no room to come in here and start from the beginning right

Because when you started the first time y’all played like this and then y’all was Championship ready we expecting the same thing over here when I trade for you which is not fair not reality so his best bet is the Loyalty from Golden State like it’s been pop this whole time

See you know before if pop went somewhere else after San Antonio he would have already been fired again yes he would have already been fired when you the NBA they don’t those general managers and presidents they gonna fire the coach before they fire themselves of course so

You know I bring you in and you in performing and they asking me questions huh some someone ah hey I gotta trade you I got I gotta fire you because I’m not gonna fire myself for the food that I bring you right and that’s that’s that’s most GMS are the are scapegoat

Goting the coaches themselves so how much do Steve ker said this is not the last dance for the big three of The Warriors big three so do you see a scenario in which this team is together Draymond clay Steph next season do do coaches get drug tests in

The NBA I never they don’t get all right CU this ain’t the Last Dance boy you crazy as hell so this is it you believe this is it man they they this ain’t the big like I’m sorry this this big three is the Last Dance For The Big

Three if they bring in somebody else to help it’s not the big three no more one of y’all are going to be four one of y’all is four now they didn’t know one two three one of Y four somebody goonna be four and five yeah hey if they get creative four and five

So y’all might be there’s one of y’all coming off the Bench

Shannon Sharpe and Gilbert Arenas react to Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr saying that this NBA season won’t be a “last dance” for the Dubs’ Big 3 of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. Unc and Gil break down why that sounds like a pipe dream when 2 of the 3 stars are clearly on the decline.

  1. and i hate to say it. but even curry hasnt been looking like himself the last two weeks. He's taking curry shots but not hitting curry shots. I still think he has at least 4 years left in the league but at some point he will begin to decline as well.

  2. Warriors fans… it’s okayyyyy we got 4 mfing chips and dominated the league. All things come to an end and we gotta accept that 😢

  3. Hello everyone let’s remember, everyone has a bad season and this is one for the Warriors. Some are getting older and maybe a little slower, but they can rebound. Lest see what happens in the next game. 😊 Peace

  4. You get Klay Thompson to sign for similar to Draymond 5 years 120 ml he'll be a lot more desirable to other teams every team wants a Klay Thompson they just don't want to pay him 45 million a year he's gotta come down reality.

  5. This is a genuine question and I mean no disrespect, has Steve Kerr actually coached the warriors to success or was their success inevitable?
When you look at it, a LOT of these warriors guys credit Mark Jackson for his initial influence right as they were propelling into stardom, Kerr took over at the helm and from there they added a LOT of intricate pieces. We’re talking unselfish veteran role player in Iggy, we’re talking THE SECOND BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE in KD when you have the greatest shooting pair along with one of the FIRST defensive playmaking forward in modern time.
There were often talks about well is there a need for Kerr?
I mean for goodness sake their recent ring came off the back of Curry’s astronomical performance along with Looney becoming Hakeem & Poole’s random bursts. I obviously like many did not watch EVERY SINGLE game but more often then not I’m like Kerr is just there to pat these guys on the back and chill. Whereas you’ll physically see Nurse or Erc make adjustments, Bud setting things up etc.
I find Kerr to be kinda cruising and why I bring that up now is well I don’t think he’s acknowledging the need to be stern and be a coach. I mean why are we wasting curry’s little remaining time and abiding to this relic of the past.
Like we benching Kumbucket for what?????

  6. No, Curry has more years left lol Just sucks they can't dump Dray and Clay for more than a funnel cake and $25 Target gift card lol

  7. Honestly they do if you watching its something really missing in the energy the drive the passion. Ppl are to concern with social media as a player just suit up and hoop you getting paid millions to put a ball in a basket like what like us ppl talk

  8. I honestly think that 98 bulls season and how it was busily just torn down , he’s not gonna turn his back even tho he should

  9. They do have years left but not with Kerr as a coach . Kerr’s voice isn’t giving them juice .

  10. This is a very sad time for us Warriors fans and people that just love the game . RIP coach/father/role model Dejan Milojevic coming from what I hear out of Mike Browns mouth the true definition of a big gentle teddy bear and you can absolutely see that as observer of the game . Now regards to the season and what must be done as tough as things have for the organization. It's transitioning time. Toronto received 3 1st and Bruce Brown & Nwora for Pascal .Bulls is receiving 2 plus Klay and Moody Looney which are way better package than Bruce and Nwora
    Klay 43 mil/ Moody 3.9 mil/ Looney 7.5 mil
Klay Moody Looney 2 1st for Lavine Drummond & Caruso
Trade CP 1st for Malcolm Brogdon
    Starting 5
    Curry Lavine Kuminga Draymond Drummond
    Brandin Brogdon Caruso Dario TJD
    Lester GP Wiggins Santos
    Waive Corey Joseph !!!!

  11. The Warriors need a Giannis-caliber player in order to even have a shot at this point

  12. Too much money tied to Draymond… If anything Steph made his bed, he co-signed that loyalty deal. The thing is that loyalty deal has 2 costs to it, financial and future. Although i will say this, no one saw them winning in 2022… Lebron has had seasons with Cavs and Lakers were he barely scraped in to the playoffs, then made a deep run. Young teams start strong and hit the wall, old teams dont wake up till after All Star break.

  13. The warriors are a team in denial, but you also have Klay & Dray that feel too comfortable that any talk of them being traded is off the table between the people making the decisions. Klays arrogance and clear decline and Dray being a complete liability with his suspensions would be enough to have them moved if they were on another team. I can understand Pascal not wanting to commit to a long term deal with the warriors. It's a very us (core and Kerr) against them (everyone else).
    Hanging on by a thread,
    A Warriors fan 🫠
