So the Cavs have been the best team by net rating in the last 10 games

Hope we show up for the next couple of matchups with them

The “defense has improved” posts in December remind me of the “Giannis is shooting 40% from 3 for the last 15 days” posts. Team looked as bad and confused as ever defensively against the Cavs. Tons of breakdowns and miscommunications.

  3. I really don’t want to lose another year of peak Giannis with nothing to show at the end of the season… But the truth is I’m not feeling it with this team atm.

Nothing has improved over the course of the season. Issue is the roster and coach suck, allowing constant blow bys and miscommunication

Not ideal, I think at this point that run where we held the middle ranking on defense late november through Decembr can probably be chalked up to the weak schedule and long home stands we had int that run.

That being said, we can only go up from here! Hopefully a healthy and whole team with the potential for a move can set the defense trending in the right direction

But weā€™ll be good in the playoffsā€¦ right? RIGHT???

What exactly is being used to determine the ā€œefficiency landscapeā€ in this graph? Is it just regular offensive, defensive, and net rating? To have as many wins as we do and be considered a ā€œnegative teamā€ seems a little disingenuous? This chart reads like weā€™re worse than the Kings, Raptors, and Mavs which I just donā€™t think is true. I like the analysis using adjusted Net/O/D ratings by dunksandthrees better than this analysis.

By their metrics, weā€™re still objectively an average team overall(#10 in adjusted net rating) but still considered upper echelon. Cupcake schedule by their metrics too so this team really needs to get better.
