Didn’t know uh Jameson Williams had a conversation today with some reporters about that um and mentioned a few things he mentioned one um kind of that connection and how Matthew or I’m Matthew stord Jared G gets him the Rock and kind of does that like and you know
What the best part about it too was no I know that he talked about his throwing yeah and he talked about how accurate Jared G was and how Jared G’s passes he’s able to catch them and how he likes his passes it’s crazy like the Ducks and
How bad people say Jared go may be and and then all and I know his receivers probably could say uh have to say good things about him but guess what they don’t just be like yeah throws good no they go into details about it he also

For him and this team one of the hardest things to do is a rookie is not be healthy when you’re entering the league you don’t get to be a part of that that team building stuff and just getting to know the offense how just get becoming a

And kind of make that step because uh coaches are throwing so much at you you have to you know you have to know your whole offensive game plan you have to know your whole Playbook at the same time you have to make reads on defense
You have so many things to do and he was kind of giv rased rice the props saying that he was able to kind of come to come along with that very quickly um you look puka did it really well in La it took Mar Brown n eight or nine games games so
Like a guy like Jameson Williams you could say oh he’s in going into year three now next year and and he still like hasn’t really Blossom listen he didn’t play that whole first year and he came in and limited snaps right this year suspended to the start of the year

Chris Godwin you cannot afford both of those guys to go off you cannot do it um I I I can’t remember here uh did I put in I want to see if I put this in slap R I did did you have that graphic kg um of
Mike Evans I think it’s ml football yeah I got can you throw this up because this was something that kind of popped out to me and this is where I think the Detroit Lions like the number one thing on this offense Mike Evans is a dog first of all

Have to send help over to Mike Evans every time you have to double Mike Evans you can let Chris Godwin do his thing whatever it is but Mike Evans is the issue to me in this in this offense to where they’re if he goes off that’s

This yet Mike Evans vers single coverage this season 809 yards first in the NFL nine touchdowns first in the NFL 23 explosive plays first in the NFL 94.7 PFF grade first in the NFL the Detroit Lions need to stop that you cannot allow that to happen you have to find a way to
Stop that you have to find send extra guys over you have to find a way to double him you have to figure out a way to contain him that is where he lives and and we’re going to get into this whole AG thing a little bit with the
Defense and AG mentioned hey we’re going to send guys and we’re going to send guys and we’re throwing these Blitz packages out it sets guys up for one-on ones and they have to win one-on-one battles in in the secondary that’s a problem with Mike Evans yeah he he will
Torch you yeah so that’s my uh and he’s a big wide receiver so not puzzling about Mike Evans he’s such a deep threat it’s not like he’s the the fastest player in the world he’s pretty big he’s pretty strong he he just knows how to use his body and to create separation um
But those stats are outrageous in in single coverage they definitely got a double him or you know they they do have a plethora of safeties that they can keep over the top so they’re going to figure out AJ’s going to need to disguise what their defense looks like
Pre- Snap uh you know we saw we’ve been watching a lot of Michigan football in the last couple weeks but what Jesse Minter does so great is disguising that defense before the snap so that some of these younger quarterbacks in college football can’t read the same elements
Have to happen against Baker too he’s obviously a more seasoned quarterback but you you can’t let him know there’s going to be single coverage otherwise they’re going to Target him you got to make sure you shut down Mike Evans I think they’re slot receivers too not
Russell Gage Trey Palmer he’s kind of a stud he was one Lucas talked about earlier in the year there was a pass I believe it was to Palmer that Baker Mayfield missed um so it’s not like it’s just Mike Evans and Chris godman but those are definitely their two best
Offensive players the uh so so that to me I agree with you 100% the number one part of their offense is you got to shut those down I think the most important important part that the defense needs to do the Lions defense that is is make sure that Rashad white doesn’t beat you
They’ve done it all year so this this is where they should feel confident but you got to make sure that Rashad white doesn’t beat you not just in the run but out of the flats he’s one of the top receiving running backs um they they’ve been pretty good against receiving
Running backs too so don’t give it’s not just about the run but they got to make sure that just like the Vikings just like the ramps they’re a onedimensional team that way their Playmakers whether they’re in well they shouldn’t be in single coverage after that but the play
Makers in this the the in their secondary can then go and make plays they can go ball seek yeah that’s so I do agree with that I think it’s just like hey you got to stop the run at some point it’s like with the Rams at like at
Some point you do have to stop a receiver because that almost killed you last game you you you won the game by one point and PUK just went nuts so like like that KJ said that about a week ago and he about a week ago thanks Nick about a week ago we but
No yeah KJ you mentioned that and it’s like at some point you do have to stop that you have to stop a a receiver you can’t just let just go out there and torch you every single game like I think the run’s going to get stopped no matter
What El mcneel those linebackers some of the best in the league they’re going to get the stops I think they’re going to stop the run it’s about this secondary and stepping up and stopping these wide receivers and you think about not getting torch every week that’s what we
Have not been doing the last four games the lead receiver is averaging 185 yards per game which is absolutely insane the lions are 3 and one in those games a key reason why especially against that Rams team Reds zone defense they can do whatever they want in between the 20s
Preferably not go off for 185 yards but as long as they keep stepping up in the Red Zone I think this team still finds success love that KJ you have anything on the that side there for the Detroit Lines defense to to get a stop simply
Get home get to Baker Mayfield that’s a good way to keep him from uh connecting with Mike Evans um I I brought it up in the last game we only had one sack against uh the Buccaneers and it was by Julian aora so you want to see Hutch
Have a sighting in this game um and definitely if James Houston’s out there I’m really looking forward to what he’s going to give us I feel like he’ll have a sack inning somewhere so we’ll see but definitely want to get pressure on Baker yeah I’m I’m that’s where I’m at I want
To as well um oh I just messed this up real quick there we goine I was Al looking at some stats because I want to go on the other side of the ball here for the Lions offense and this bucks defense to kind of get the one thing
That the Lions need to kind of take advantage of um and to me there there’s been one thing that this bucks team’s been very very good at especially like last game when they played the Eagles um that was their run defense um they they weren’t great during the season they
Gave up 120 yards per game during the season which is probably think around 15ish um but in the playoffs you saw week one and this little game stretch they’ve had that’s something that Todd Bulls is like very very like locked in on his hey we’re going to stop the run
Especially if that’s your kind of go-to that’s the Detroit Lions go-to I think this game What’s going to come down to is if they can establish the run if you if that got that offensive line up front which is supposed to be the number one

Seven eight nine guys in here and we’re going to we’re going to make sure we’re going at you we’re going to put a couple guys back but we’re going to make sure we’re throwing everything at Jared gof and everything at those running backs you have to find a way to run the ball
You have to establish a run Jared go is best in play action right fellas yeah facts set it up figure a way out even if they have the best Rush defense in the NFL don’t care find a way to do it and get your best offense out there care

Pressure he had to go away from what he was used to and started just blitzing and blitzing throwing packages at that with that comes giving up big big plays AG talked about it here um and he brought up people asked him like Hey are you willing to give those big plays up
And he said yeah like we have to do what we have to do to win football games so here’s AG on this adjustments of the defense adjust risk giving up some big plays I guess just being able to to live with that right the comfort of knowing
That we may give up one or two but we’re going to get ours that’s all part of it you know if you do it I mean that can happen and we know that um it’s more my personality to be able to do that and our guys know it the thing is you guys
