  1. Laid an egg. Stew on it for 3 days. Bounce back vs Utah

  2. _Wado3000

I’m not dooming. Book is amazing and nobody could hit 3’s after dropping 25 the previous game.

All these blowouts win or lose feel funky, but I’m good off the clutch time heartattacks too lol

  3. BobMarleynthewhalers

Booker would have sat in the first quarter at the 6min mark under Willie

  4. Impressive-Theory-27

That sucked but there were positives the Bi Z lob connection is definitely there, but we need to trade for a bench player who can shoot apart from trey and hawk, literally no one on phoenix gave a shit about naji, Jose, dyson or Larry on offence

  5. 3 day break couldn’t have come at a better time. I need a break

  6. FlockedDown

So what y’all planning to throw at your TV if the Jazz beat us again on Tuesday? I’m thinking maybe a shoe

  7. SpaceAfricanJesus

Don’t let the final score fool you, it wasn’t that close at all.

10-42 from 3 and a number of those 3s were made in the 4th when the game was well out of reach.

I think Will Hardy could sum it up well “That was a masterpiece… of dogshit.”

People will try to find a scapegoat or a hot take instead of just giving Booker credit. The guy came in and ended the game the 1st Q. Meanwhile the Pels just missed all their 3s tonight.

Willie will have to find a way to slow down Booker in the future, Herb is a great defender but Booker even cooks him. It was just too easy for him.

Only complaint is Willie not willing to get away from his normal rotations, if BI is hot, keep him in. If Zion is hot, keep him in. You saw Vogel play Booker full 1st Q and then let him continue in the 2nd too.

Also another game where Zion with only 17 attempts, Ingram with only 11. Compare that to Booker 30 attempts, Durant 19, and Beal got more than Ingram too with 12. This is the only team where the top two options get to shoot this little. I will always have a problem with that.

  9. NikoRavage

If anyone wants some good news, we play the Super Saiyan Jazz next.

    Fuck

  10. This team once again shows that they are not even touching the Finals with BI and Zion. So you either trade one of then or accept the reality and pray that one of both becomes an MVP candidate (BI will never be, he is already 26 and he is what he is, and Zion is uninterested). If you want a first or second round playoff exit every year yeah, its fine, most of the players are really cool and easy to root for. If you want to win, understand that changes are needed and some beloved players may need to go to improve. This year its fine to be just a playoffs team, but starting next year the team needs to show some progress

Like I get wanting to keep our “identity” but when they isn’t working and Z has it going you have to make adjustments not only did we let Book cook Dice the whole 1st half with no help, we refused to stop taking 3 when they weren’t going down. Also does anyone know what a mismatch is? We let teams get away from switching by not exploiting mismatches. Like 4 times in a row Beal was on Z and we refused to get him the ball.

  12. Seemed like the gameplan was seriously flawed tonight. Suns have no interior defense…and the plan was to shoot nothing but 3s???

Doesn’t make sense to me…but I’m not an NBA head coach

  13. Ok-Procedure8654

Hawkins was cooking, and Willie pulled him early- mid 4th Qtr.

  14. Responsible_Head_237

We had the worse shooting night all year from the 3 and book with Kobe mode we be okay

  15. Savings-Bird-1226

Look ima keep it real. I’m a big Brandon fan, I know a few of you guys dislike him. However, he’s the only guy who can make every pass consistently especially those entry passes to Zion and JV. Those shooters are nice but they can’t dribble . CJ is cool when he’s on fire but he has too much tunnel vision and is strictly a 2 guard. Teams don’t guard Herb, Dyson, or Naji. Ever since that clippers game the word is out on us.

True point guards are a dying breed but we desperately need a connector who can make simple passes and hit open shots.

  16. Everyone says overreacting but this is the third time in a row that we blown up by a contender and 2 at home. Like they aren’t even close games, they are down by 20 the whole game

  17. Lyte_Work

Book been beating the brakes off this team in the SKC since that Zion dunk. I just don’t get how we never rise to the occasion when the crowd is so involved. That’s not a good look for the playoffs.

  18. DankSinatraSr

He’s a whiny little bitch and I fucking hate him more than 98% of players in the league, but you gotta give it to Booker for cooking us like a chef in a Michelin star restaurant. Nobody had an answer defensively and the coaches were just as dumbfounded on trying to stop him as the players were.

Bad defense with even worse offense. Just a really shitty game all around. Really fucking sucks that we can’t seem to win these games that have “big game” type hype.

  19. Razor-Ramon-Sessions

The reality of the situation is that this team is definitely showing us they’re mid this year. We have recently gotten blown out by “contending” teams.

Shoes me we aren’t there yet. I’m cool with the FO trying to make moves to get there but IDC this year. We wouldn’t be contending for a championship anyways.

I just want the team to make it to the playoffs healthy and build on that experience.

  20. NOLA_504LA

Phoenix is just not a good matchup with there style of play and our personal. Val is a great person and love his attitude but it was painful to watch him tonight.  And i cant believe im saying this but after Herb, Jose, and a healthy Larry, Matt Ryan maybe our best 2 way role player because the rest of our role players are either horrible on defense but have a great offensive skill set or horrible on offense but have a great defensive skill set. He has to get minutes when he comes back

  21. Another_Comet

Everyone is too inconsistent. The pels have no guy who can be a top 5 guy in this league. And previous championship winners have shown you need one to win a chip. this team just ain’t it.

  22. SpareAd6504

Hear me out. Package Dyson, naji, possibly nance, possibly Jose and get a 3 and D bench spark/facilitator and bench rim protector. Play Matt ryan 10-15 minutes a game if not more. Hawkins 20-25 minutes nightly. If BI or Zion is hot keep them in until they get tired and it becomes a disadvantage. More PNRs with BI and Zion. Trey’s 3 ball will come around. Maybe even play Jeremiah Robinson Earl

  23. FlyingSMonster

Our upcoming schedule is pretty brutal. A resurging Jazz team, OKC, Milwaukee, Boston… man this is gonna be a rough stretch if they play anywhere near this bad over it.

  24. SevenHunnet3Hi5s

this was our biggest home get yet. even bigger than those in season tournament games. the loss itself isn’t what gets me. it’s losing on such a big night like this.

i knew it was too good to be true. you got the whole region watching us on WVUE. you got a sold out crowd on a friday night. you got the team doing all this marketing and hype-building with the new court and hats and all the mardi gras stuff. all of that just to end in an embarrassing loss. we already checked out by the second quarter. imagine all the people tuning into a pelicans game for the first time and seeing this

  25. Just wasn’t our night. And even professionals will have these types of games. Watch the film, learn and move on. Plenty of games left.
