A lot of the teams that are on the table looking to trade for Murray a lot of them are no longer on the table and while Bagley did mention the Brooklyn Nets as a potential team that could be looking to go after Murray look where

The Nets are right now if the Nets add Murray maybe they turn their season around but honestly that’s a real big maybe because that team is really not looking good right now and I don’t think just adding Murray is going to fix anything and Murray himself has stated

If he’s traded he wants to go to a team that has a chance to be a contender or has a chance to really be a good team in the playoffs and if you’re asking me if you’re looking around the league at the teams that if they add Murray would have

A better chance in the playoffs I think that checks the box for the New York Knicks so the Knicks make sense there clearly the Knicks have interest clearly the Hawks have interest in quitting Grimes who the Knicks recently made available for a trade everything for me is pointing to Quinton Grimes Evan

Forier and a couple of first round picks being traded to the Hawks for hopefully AJ Griffin who fits perfectly in Obi toppins trade exception and also the prize of that trade the je Murray I think that’s the deal that gets done and if you read between the lines here like

The Hawks are looking for either an unprotected pick from the Knicks or another protected pick from the Knicks and I think honestly the Knicks don’t want to budge from their particular offer that they feel comfortable with in terms of giving up to get de jeante Murray on this roster and honestly in

Some regard I don’t blame them for that because I don’t mind them being patient going after Murray but not wanting to give up the farm for Murray especially if you look at the offers on the table right now the Knicks may have the best offer on the table with Grimes forier

And a protected first round pick because I don’t think another team that’s going after Murray right now would be even able to match that offer and sometimes it’s not about what the Hawks want it’s what the best available offer on the table is and I think the Hawks know that

That’s why they don’t have a deal on the table right now that’s got gotten done they’re looking around the league saying listen this is probably the best offer I have on the table can you beat it and likely a lot of teams are not going to

Be able to beat it in my opinion the one thing holding up this trade is the Atlanta Hawks looking around the league potentially to see if they can get a better deal for dejonte Murray if they were in doing that I think this deal would already be done however I can’t
