I would say, I thought he would be further along scoring the ball. However, I love his playmaking ability. Like I’ve said before, once he gets that midrange jumper to fall more consistently, he’ll be averaging near 20. I mean, he’s averaging 12.5 shooting 36%.
He’s 19 and I trust our talent development. So we’ll really have to wait for his 3rd- 4th year. Like mostly all the players we develop.
I’m still very high on Scoot.

Fewer turnovers, fewer fouls and finishing with his left hand (or at least not attempting a reverse layup on 90% of his drives). Obviously improving his shooting percentages but that’s probably a project for the offseason.
Mostly, though, I’m super excited about Feb. 3 so I never have to hear how he is only 19 again.

1. 2PT% over 45% (he’s at 38% the past 20 games). 2. 3PT% over 35% (he’s at 38% the past 20 games). 3. FT% over 80% (he’s at 77% the past 20 games). 4. Fewer dumb TO’s.

After a rough start I think he’s already improved, obviously the shooting % isn’t great but not going to be alarmed about that this early. The playmaking is coming along nicely, you can see the chemistry growing with his teammates. Over the next 41 games I’d like to see him be even more aggressive with playmaking and scoring. I don’t care if it results in more turnovers and mistakes its more about the learning for him..think it will be valuable. I’d also like to see the on ball defence remain solid, he’s been surprisingly not bad on that end so far. The help D and late rotations will continue but that’s fine that will come with more time and experience. Overall just want to see his confidence grow, I believe he’s the kind of player who draws on alot of internal self belief to play well, so keep that confidence up, don’t let mistakes diminish the effort & listen to mentors. He’s going to turn out fine.

I think he’s doing great, especially considering he missed a couple weeks to injury! Last night he showed off some great moves!

Court vision, passing, game management, hustling on D are all great qualities he has in spades and I’ve really enjoyed him growing.
Next 41 games – efficiency around the rim and get better at getting to his spot for this middys.
Basically, I think he’s going to be very good but he isn’t just yet.

i think he’s right where he needs to be. some obvious raw talent and skills that got overburdened by the expectations of fans in a rebuild season, his rookie season. that said would love to see more layups go in
Fickle_Necessary_204
Beginning of the season I figured 15 and 5, with the injury and all the things going wrong this season 12.5 and 5 is close enough for me, he will end up a 20 10 player

Everything but his shooting looks pretty good. But even in that regard 3pt% and ft% are trending in a great direction.
The main things I want to see from him are to stop thinking so much. I feel like he’s not using his body or athleticism very often because he’s getting scared to commit to driving to the rim. When a defender gives him space he freezes and can waste a lot of clock.
In another coaches offense you could hide this better and allow for more movement but pairing his inability to make a quick decision in that situation with Chauncey’s movement-less offense it is often a recipe for unsuccess.
He’s improved his fouling, turnovers, and 3pt% dramatically over his first few games and leads me to believe we drafted someone who is going to make the extra effort to be great.
Gotta work on his floater though, shit is ass.

Disappointed but still hopeful that Scoot will figure it out. Scoot has at least 2.5 seasons to determine his potential.

I want vets traded and Scoot to start. Go through all the shit Shaedon did last year after all-star break.

Mehh I see why Charlotte passed on him

Seen flashes, but jury is still out. I got no faith that Billups can develop him though.

What I would remind people is when Dame was Scoot’s age he was playing ball at Weber State.
