Well I thought we we were unselfish we competed and we were really connected and I think you know getting the win was a really good win because it was an affirmation of those things um obviously some things that we can do better that’s usually the case um but it was a really
Good effort on all those those three levels as much as anything we talked about that you know prior to the game um where we can see Improvement and that really helped our execution I thought Trey and DJ um playing off each other late um they were poised and we were able to defend
Late um just the start of the game with the first half just how they were crashing the offensive glass how what were you seeing from them that made it so much easier for them to kind of get some of those offensive boards well I’m not letting our guys off the hook but
When Clint gets switched out onto Blan Caro and he did a I thought we really made him work um our backline in the glass um isn’t 69 611 68 whatever it was they’re big and um you know they cut um cuz he’s in an isolation situation in a back down and
You know I thought you know o did a great job guarding him all the guys who was on him JJ had a couple contests that were really good thought we did a good job of you know of defending him you know and those shots they know he’s shooting them and they crash and
It’s something we got to stay committed to um but as much as anything it’s it’s the process of you know getting those hits cuz that’s if we can’t really jump with them and even when someone’s got a running start it’s hard um but that’s where we competed and
Got more familiar with the way that they were going to the glass as the game went on and I thought our guards rebounded we have to rebound we have to gang rebound obviously it works out with de jante shop what was the thought process after Poo’s 3 to not call a timeout and
Just let it play out yeah you know that’s always um that’s always the debate um so you know you call time out and the defense gets set they substitute um you know and DJ Reed that the confidence and uh happy for him you know who was contested that’s a shot he can
Make and uh he did it it was more significant to me even prior to that the last five minutes um with those two guys playing pick and roll and Trey pick and roll playing pick and roll with JJ I thought we were able to manufacture some good
Shots and you know Trey puts so much pressure on you when he drives and he got to the line and he got fouled coach I know you briefly mentioned him but with Ona kind of closing out the game and those minutes what do you like from him I know he had
That foul but just what do you like seeing out of him in those you know his his his energy um you know whether he’s in with Clint um you know we felt like that matchup for him was a good matchup because of his strength and you know I thought he was
TR on the glass you know Trey found him on the roll and those he’s got really good hands and you know you throw it up to him even if he doesn’t dunk it you know he catches it comes down and goes up strong so um we felt that you know
That made sense and wanted to get him out the early part of the or the middle part of the fourth so that we could finish with him that’s always you know that’s always hard um those two guys the way they support each other um is really good and it’s
Unique in a game where it’s so close like that it’s a possession battle and you lose the or you have 23 turnovers to uh the Orlando’s 13 how do you overcome that or what do you attribute that to we did you know I think but that’s
Obviously an area that we want to take care of the ball better I didn’t some of them they’re you know you get Isaac out there he spreads out you get lanero out there even Joe Eng Les is 68 folz is 67 you know Suggs is Big at 6’4 they’re big
And you know it takes a little getting used to that you have to adjust um but some of the angles on your passes um they’re able to distort those some of the times you throw a lob um you know if they’re playing the pass they can tip it
Um so obviously you know look at that I think our players know that you know I I didn’t wasn’t time to remind them of their turnovers tonight we can do that later thanks coach okay thank you all right
