Could Knicks pursue Wizards Deni Avdija ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline? | Begley’s Mailbag | SNY

Cooler checks in here with a question about Denny ABIA he wants to know because the Wizards are struggling so much this year he calls them a disaster are the Knicks interested in abdia I haven’t heard anything specific to the Knicks on abdia but I did hear that in the conversations between the Wizards

And the Hawks aia’s name came up so I think that’s a team to keep an eye on for avdia I do think Quinn Snider had been a fan of a is you know earlier in his career maybe leading into the draft but keep an eye on Atlanta uh I don’t

Think New York had expressed any interest to date and if you look at Adia and his profile I don’t think he feels a specific need for the Knicks at least one that they’re looking at right now uh I think their focus would be uh Reserve guard who can create off the dribble and

Also a backup big depending on how things progress with precious AA I think those are the deals you’re looking at the if you’re talking about a more minor deal more likely deal for the Knicks an Adia doesn’t really fill either of those holes for this Nick team right now

In this extra from Begley’s Mailbag, SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley answers a fan question regarding the Knicks potential interest in Wizards forward Deni Avdija ahead of the NBA trade deadline.

  1. He better take back what he said about Julius cuz Julius is way better than him and much more skilled and he’s not even a star he’s much more of a role player and I wouldn’t want to have him because we are pretty much bringing back another josh hart

  2. He is a PF and SF – so where do we put him? The thing is – he has a hard working blue collar work ethic – there is no second team now and looks like Brunson is going to get burnt out – his legs are taking a beating – calf, ankles, knees – by the playoffs i worry Brunson will be toast from over use – Knicks could not put away the lowly Wizards last night – will take the win but there are concerns there

  3. yup, more trades coming. It's over folks! Who's it going to be this time? I bet it's either Robinson or Hartenstein. Maybe even Brunson!
