Cam Thomas after Nets’ win vs. Lakers: Our energy in 3rd qtr was key | NBA on ESPN

You guys punched them in the mouth in the third quarter and took over from there what was the difference uh just our energy came coming out uh we ended the quarter second quarter pretty well we ended well then we knew cuz we usually start off slow in the third

Quarter so we knew this game we couldn’t start off slow know they’re a good team they’ll come out punch in the mouth then it’s over with cuz then they was going to get in the paint get fouls play bully ball so we just want to come out with

Good energy and play at our pace so I think that worked and good thing we got to win from it coach Jack vaugh we saw him in the Huddle talking to you guys about just having fun out there obviously it’s been a rough stretch for

You guys what was it to just be grounded in that scenario when he’s telling you that yeah it’s good just knowing that we finally playing at a good level we play at a good level this game we finally got a win who was playing well sharing the

Ball making shots you know that’s the potential of this team making shots defending all five positions and just you know stick it to our principles and hopefully we get wins out of it from now on 33 for you fourth time 30 points since last season Off the Bench most in

The league what about your game and what what that says about where you are as a player right now yeah um just having more opportunity this year uh have way more opportunity playing my style of ball just not thinking as much uh you know whether it’s starting or coming off

The bench I’m just going to try to bring as much energy as possible and do my road for the team for what we need so whether it’s starting coming off the bench I’m just going to bring the energy so you know I’m just just happy to be

Playing happy to be playing congrats cam thank you so much oh doubt appreciate [Applause] It NBA on the

Jorge Sedano speaks with Cam Thomas after he scored 33 PTS off the bench in the Brooklyn Nets’ 130-112 road win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

  1. Cam Thomas need to start Every game now asap. Nets need trades asap how you start 15-14 then fall 16-24 😤😡

  2. At this point the Lakers are just trash 😂 idk what’s the excuse now ? Every season it’s the same sh*t😅 Lebron got no help hein 😂😂😂

  3. He’s a starter.. and legit the no.1 option on his team. But the problem is, there will be no legit scorer on the bench

  4. I cannot believe the front office and coaching can’t see the potential this young guy has. They are blindly looking for name brands when there is a true future superstar already waiting in their own ranks. Build around this guy. Even KD and Kyrie saw this when they were here.

  5. Did you notice LeBron James run off the court at the end of the game without congratulating the Net players, he does that everytime the Lakers lose because he has no class !

  6. Its funny how commentator and fans are blaming the Lakers defense, when in reality nobody in the NBA has a clue how to guard Cam Thomas when he's on a roll, totally unstoppable.

  7. Its crazy that espn stopped highlights/shorts when yhe nets were winning. Come one we here to watch the lakers lose 😂

  8. I called it last night, the Lakers were gonna slow down and deflate in the 2nd half, and them young boys on Nets would steam roll them.

  9. Can someone explain why he seems to never start? Not hating or anything, just curious. He puts up numbers

  10. Nets Daily called it a "gutsy" win, which made me chuckle. The Lakers aren't concerned about most of these games. They won't be invested in them until the play-in games begin.

They're fresh off of a 17 point victory over a much better team than the pitiful Nets. We're not even at the all-star break. The trade deadline is looming as well.
    Gutsy. LMAO!
