The Pelicans are open to moving Herb Jones “The Pelicans are thought to be open to moving Herbert Jones. They’re high on Jones, but it’ll be difficult for the team to pay their stars, Jones and Trey Murphy III.” Herb Magic Should Weltman make the call ?

  1. I’d much rather have Trey Murphy lol we already have an elite defensive guard

People just want moves for the sake of moves…

They complain about injury prone players and then I see posts about trading for Brogdon with excessive amounts of upvotes.

They complain about shooting and then I see posts about Herb Jones and Dejounte Murray appear.

    Someone make it make sense.

Our fanbase just wants a trade? Without thinking about who would be the best fit for this roster?

IF we make ANY move, and it’s not a bona-fide shooter/scorer, I’ll be thoroughly upset.

I like how this time of year the only posts you see are other players being shopped and “should the magic get this guy” titles 😭

I actually think this is one we should get in on. I see other people’s concerns but the fact remains is he is tall, long, playing behind a 25ppg guy and will be coming up to a reasonable contract extension that doesn’t go over 15m per year even through the non-guaranteed year.

He hits his free throws at a pretty high rate and appears to be a more solid outside shooter than people have given him credit for. He’s certainly more reliable than keeping Chuma or Gary. We’d probably have to have some moving parts / other teams because we don’t seem to have a compatible trading roster even though they could take both our guys mentioned and plug them in for the playoff ride and either ditch them or sign them for cheap over the summer because they don’t have Jones’ value. They may be desperate enough if they’re hitting luxury tax and almost a monster-Zion breakout away from real contention
