What We Saw In Pascal Siakam’s Indiana Pacers Debut
Y what’s going on guys and if I look a little out of it I actually drove like 7 hours today I drove to Orlando this morning to interview Maring GT and then drove back so and took a nap but we were watching some film I watched the
Beginning of this game then took a nap and now it’s 1:00 in the morning and what we’re saw or what we saw tonight was Pascal Cam’s debut and I was rather impressed okay by what we saw by the Indiana Pacers and this won’t be a long video yes they lost to the Trailblazers
118 115 first game with Tyrese and Pascal seaka playing together Tyrese came back Jeremy Grant scores 37 points the ruin the debut and I think look I think that’s what happened don’t don’t overreact I think the Portland trp Blazers just wanted to you know rain on their parade as Malcolm brogon also
Dropped 30 so I I don’t think anyone was expecting that they just could not miss but basal IAM dra 21 points while starting for the Pacers after being traded from Toronto earlier last week miles turn out of 29 Points and 12 rebounds tiers hurn returned after missing five games with a hamstring
Injury that he suffered 12 days ago on January 8th against the Celtics finished with 21 points and 17 assists and the big thing was seaka was acquired for three first round picks and he’s still getting adjusted to his new team but but he’s already showing that he could be a
High-scoring punch alongside hurn Pacers went three and two without him but without hurn and it’s going to be definitely definitely interesting to see how this all plays up because tonight I thought it was a an interesting performance so pascow came out as we said had 21 points six rebounds three
Assists to steal at plus 17 in the Box minus Aaron E Smith had 12 points Aon E Smith played small forward and I wonder if that’s going to be who they play for the rest of the season cuz like I don’t know who else he would
Play yeah I think that’s who you play there’s been rumors that Gordon Hayward might get bought out I could see them getting Gordon Hayward and then moving n Smith to the bench and Hayward being the guy there but realistically heal halber and Turner and cakam that’s one of the better four players in
A starting lineup like we’re going to say this team looks top 10 also seak next to Turner it that’s a really good fit that’s a really good fit and I want to talk about SE yakum shot selection SE yakum was operating a lot within inside he had a a few shots I
Think it was like TJ McConnell had assist isted and hton had hit him around was hitting him around the mid-range a lot like literally all the mid-range back buckets were assisted from Tyrese alurn so I think they got a good thing rolling here coffee I think what we’re seeing is
Just a grittier team I think this game was just a fluke that they lost I wouldn’t really look too much into it some people are going to be like oh my God they lost their first game guys one game it’s not going to be the end of the
World but I wanted to hear your opinions if you guys were on the same page as me I was I’ve been impressed and I’ve enjoyed what they’ve done so far in terms of the way the the team is set up is that there’s a lot of spacing around
Pascal so you can attack the basket without being clogged and that was a problem that was in Toronto was the basket was too clogged so I think they alleviated that but I don’t know pretty impressed let me hear your thoughts
Siakam scored 21 points while starting for the Pacers after being traded from Toronto earlier this week. Myles Turner had 29 points and 12 rebounds for Indiana, which held off Sacramento 126-121 on Thursday night.

I saw some flashes of greatness that can be, but gotta give it a lil time to gel. i still think Buddy Hield has to go. If not, he def should be coming off the bench.
Siakim was not a good fit. Hence that’s why they lost. Not a hot take to say he is a great fit. Your opinion not fact. He does have better defence than all the Pacers.
Pacers better treat Pascal right, he's family to us up here in Toronto.
The Pacers bench went 4-24 (17%). Hard to win games when the second string plays that bad.
Indiana’s starters did awesome, their bench usually scores a ton, and none of them did last night. Kinda had a feeling they would lose. They were on a back to back and they had two guys back from injury and one brand new guy.
21 points on little sleep. He has the best low post moves in the NBA
Yes the team was on a back to back and Benedict and TJ was tried and off .. Tyrese first game back along with Pascal not having a shoot around or practice on very little sleep… imagine them fresh… They will make it to the Eastern conference finals
Proof this trade a spit in the faces of Mathurin (you are NOT our 2nd option) & Smith & Toppin (neither one of you performed well enough to be a winning team). Team chemistry shot! Well done Carlisle!
It was literally the first time they played together, plus back to back games, Hali's return from scary injury, and the league best bench dealing with fatigue, it is already pretty good. Without Siakam, this game would have been a blowout by Grant's super performance.
Jarace Walker will eventually be the starting SF. Pacers have the best bench in the NBA and against Portland no one off the bench showed up at all
Brogdon former Pacer was on it in the first half. They didn't look bad for Siakam never even have practiced with the team yet. Scott Foster last nights official crew chief was in pure homecourt favoring form though.
Refereeing was terrible too they favored Portland.🤣🤣🤣
Pacers bench was terrible due to playing the kings with only 9 guys active the night before Tyrese and NeSmith both coming back from injuries and we didn't have Nembhard
highest +/- on the team, +17 in a loss
Pascal had only 4 hours Zzzzzzzz before that game. Nuff said….
As a pacer fan, the starting lineup had like a 148 offensive rating and they were all a plus in net ratings. The bench was horrible, and usually they are very good
I think that Pascal should be starting as the small forward while keeping Smith in the game at power forward for rebounding
Smith power forward
I left Toronto with Siakam. Last night Pacers were on a back to back, which is not an excuse, but the bench logged a lot of minutes the night before in an impressive performance and win vs Kings at the Kings. Siakam didn’t get a practice with the Pacers before the debut and like you mentioned, Halliburton came back from being out for 5 games. Never thought I would ever be a Pacers fan, but Siakam is way better off and they’ll thrive. Raptors purposely didn’t run plays for Siakam and/or Siakam/Barnes—I think that’s a form of point shaving and disrespectful for the players, fans and game.
Bruh Nesmith will & needs to start for his defensive versatility cause we have NONE of that outside of him & maybe Nembhard who's injured. We NEED, NEED, NEEEEEDDDDD DEFENSE so bad its honestly embarrassing. Allowing Brogdon to absolutely COOK us for the 2nd time this season makes me beyond angry. Portland didn't even have Anfernee Simons & still never trailed us the entire game. Someone tell Carlisle that he needs committed & Lobotomized asap if he thinks outscoring your opponents is a recipe for success cause its NOT! What tf happened to guy's actually taking pride in their D? The Pacers defense is so bad but its not for a lack of trying…it's really just a matchup issue especially when u don't have the right personal or coach anywhere on this team to even be average at it. Play Jarace Walker & Ben Sheppard more Carlisle cause they both play good defense. I feel like Carlisle puts wayyyy too much emphasis on offense that he doesn't even know what good defense looks like anymore, which is why I wanted KP to hire Vogel back instead of Carlisle. Vogel knew how to make a shitty defender elite & his defensive strategy/philosophies turned an average team into one that took the super team Miami Heat to 6 & 7 games every year
Now we will see what Siakam can really do. I think he is motivated to play.
