Where’s this motivation coming from to just consistently perform like this night after night uh I think it comes from you know not wanting to let your teammate down um you know the way we’ve been playing the past you know few weeks has been incredible you know we’re
Playing for each other playing hard um you know especially you know Jay what he’s been doing on the defensive end when we make mistakes he’s there every time and so he’s got to take most of the credit for that um for us playing so well and the energy he brings on the
Game and then obviously what Don does on offensive end it’s incredible so um but now the way we’ve been just playing together and and not really want to let anybody down and just playing hard I think that’s really been the key for us this uh this stretch how much is that
Not wanting to let your teammates down on the defensive end I mean you hold another team to under a 100 points mhm I mean you know Jay is going to cover for you and uh then you’re going to feel pretty bad if he keeps covering for you
But you know his guy keeps goinging he’s going to stop covering for you so um the biggest thing is you know Jay’s going to be there and everyone else is has rotate around him and uh make sure we cover his Guy and um we’ll just live with with the
With our shot Pro F shots that they have and um but overall man just covering for um a guy that literally gives every everything he’s got every game so I think that’s the biggest thing for us well ja has continually been giving you love night after night and talking about
How great it is how he was saying that he was asking me if I could see how excited he is when you are shooting um can you feel like how excited he is when you’re playing well yeah uh especially after you hit a shot and then like all
Of a sudden you just feel like a punch right in the back and he’s yelling ah that’s when you feel it the most um but you know just how excited they get you know everyone out there when you know I make shots make a couple shots I mean
Talking like coaching staff everyone on the bench everyone on the court just like yelling super happy for me so um I think that’s you know not I don’t think I don’t see a lot of teams that do that that have that camaraderie you know that
We have that um all the way from last guy on the bench all the way up through everyone that’s on the bench coaching staff included um you know when somebody’s hot hit hitting shots stuff like that I mean everyone’s super excited super happy for him so um it’s
Fun to play for for people like that you know you know that uh when the ball comes you hit a couple shots they’re going to be all over you so it’s uh it’s pretty fun Sam was talking to us the other day about how you’re just so good
When in situations that are chaotic right or or last second shots things like that we saw it again here tonight right like what is about those moments where maybe you’re out of your head and you’re just letting it Fly uh I think that’s the easiest easiest way I mean
There’s no other option you have to shoot it and so as as somebody to as a shooter I mean that’s like the best situation you have to shoot it no other option um and like Sam told me earlier this year man just imagine every single shots into the shot clock you can’t do
Anything but shoot it that’s uh but um you know I think I got you know it’s nice to have your mind clear you know as soon as the ball comes you know there’s less than two seconds on the shot clock you have to shoot it it’s kind of um
It’s kind of nice aside from J and the impact that he’s made defensively what specifically stands out to you about the way you guys have defended recently um I mean I think just everybody you know especially Isaac the way he’s been you know he got the best player um small
Guards and just you know never stop moving the way he’s defending you know staying in front of him being physical um playing without fouling I mean it’s been incredible to watch and um you know when you see somebody out there you know he’s like the head of the snake um he’s
Out there playing as hard as he can you know you don’t want to let him down so you’re playing as hard as you can trying to cover for um if if anybody makes mistakes so um I think it’s that energy that you know Jay and Isaac bring um
That really really Elevate us on the defens
