If he gets that reported return that would mean **Pascal Siakam** as a whole went for **1 Young Player & 4 First RP (+Lewis/Nwora/???)**

people really said we should keep him, a 28 year old role player whose value has never been higher, while we’re trying to blow it up lol

I hope this convinces people who want to keep Brown that we should absolutely trade him.
It’s clear he has tons of value around the league and this deadline’s version of Josh Hart, who Portland got for a 1st round pick last year.
I find it baffling that people want to keep him with the team in this state. We need to be reloading on our assets, not keeping them to have their value rot.
I love Bruce Brown if we were a top 4 seed in the conference, but we aren’t even close to play-ins and we already have a ton of vets that literally have no trade value, it’s literally their job to teach young guys the right way to play.

It’s very interesting to follow, as he seems to have more interest than Siakam around the league because A) his play style fits in everywhere, and B) his contract is easy to fit in because it’s a team option at an easy to trade number.
To me, I thought that something like Fournier and the Mavs 2025 FRP would be a really nice return, or Fournier and Grimes. If we could get something on par with both of those (Grimes and a first), I’d be thrilled.
I wonder if there are any other teams where we could get a good return other than LA/NYC. Teams like the Heat, Magic, Thunder, Timberwolves, Mavs, Kings, Rockets could all have varying levels of interest.

This benefits the raptors so I choose to believe it

Something tells me we have a tentative agreement with NYK on a Fournier, Grimes and a first for Brown trade but one of the teams (or maybe both lol) is holding off on finalizing it to see what else they can get.

the question is how many teams out there can give us what we’re looking for w/o having to take on alot of future salary. that’s more limited.
