While I’m sure Ham is better than most of everyone including this sub thinks, it still doesn’t absolve him from criticism for many of his decisions and his inconsistent messaging when speaking to the media.

  2. Illustrious-Hand-525

Lebron also saving him self. It’s a bad look for Lebron if he’s just ignoring ham no matter how bad he is as a coach.

  3. Tall_Succotash

If I were Lebron I’d be highly annoyed the internet tried to make me look like a shitty person 24/7.
Same with trying to paint AR as a douche who hates his coach. It might be fun for the fan base to make these type of rumors but trust me..future coaches or owners would think these dudes are unprofessionals.

Say what you want about ham but we truly have no clue what discussions these guys are having behind closed doors.

  4. Top-boy-og

I think it’s more about these accounts making shit up than Bron defending Ham

  5. This goes against Ham = Hamas. Mods, delete please.

  6. Responsible_Focus424

Lmao r/lakers just got “BLOCKED BY JAMES.”

Not to mention you cannot call a timeout when the opposition has the ball…

  7. Illustrious-Hand-525

Is that D’lo courtside behind ham? 😂😂

  8. iiivoted4kodos

It would’ve been very easy to not say anything here. Either Bron supports Ham more than this sub would want to believe, or he just doesn’t want to fan the flame and have this be a topic on First Take and the other shows.

Since Bron typically ignores all the noise, I’m gonna interpret this as him actually supporting Ham. Maybe all the passive aggressive comments praising in the media aren’t him asking for a new coach, but just pressuring Ham to get his shit together since a lot of his mistakes have obvious fixes.

    Ham haters in Shambles rn.

  10. StoneColdAM

Respect LeBron for clarifying. Even if Ham has issues, it would be bad if there was a narrative that the players were being passive aggressive about him.

With that said, I truly believe he called TO just to take himself out of the game and doesn’t want Ham to get attacked too much.

  11. Early-Candidate5492

I think that’s more of him standing up for himself than Ham lol.

It’s like a nah people ain’t finna be like I call the shots and do whatever i want… so he was shutting that narrative down.

  12. jurassic_snark-

People have been trying to tear down LeBron since he first came on the national stage so I’m sure while he has his disagreements with Ham, he probably burns him up extra extra happening like this

I don’t like Ham as a coach either, but this gossipy old ladies at a hair salon shit is beneath such a winning franchise. It also just confuses the conversation away from the legitimate discussion about Ham’s frequently incompetent coaching strategy and makes it hateful and personal

And the Hamas shit is beyond disrespectful especially to people actually affected by Hamas. We really want to be the fanbase known for calling our coach a terrorist?

  13. Background_Nature_32

Don’t let this distract you from the fact Darvin Hamas is a shitty ass coach

  14. I dunno man. Ham looked confused by it all. Didn’t high five Lebron as they crossed paths. Strange behavior.

Don’t forget: this dude kept LBJ in deep in the fourth in a blowout win against Dallas last week.

  15. Prize_Salamander8035

Even if his offensive and defensive scheme are dogshit, we would be neutral about Darvin Ham if he could simply call time outs and not over playing T Prince and Cam over Rui, Vando and Wood. I don’t know what this dude does well as a headcoach to be honest. He been known as a motivational speaker but the players look so unmotivated in certain games.

  16. coolerthanice

LeBron is missing his usual emoticons in his response. He must be pissed.

  17. _The_Honored_One_

A lot of people in this sub need to delete some comments

  18. Ok_Suit422

Imagine getting LeBron’s attention only to get scolded by the King 👑

  19. spidey_valkyrie

that doesn’t seem like its necessarily standing up for Ham to me. Seems more about his protecting own image of being a good player who listens to his coaches rather than just doing whatever he wants, which is going to be a bad look for his reputation.

Just because he’ll listen to what Ham tells him to do doesn’t mean he approves of him or supports him, it just means he’s not insubordinate

  20. basecardripper

We live in the age of the coward bully, a bunch of losers being taught that being horrible to others from behind a keyboard is the recipe for success because it gets them clicks.

  21. Fit_Guest4469

He didn’t even call him coach.  He hates him confirmed.

  22. Rad_Bromance

He always gets defensive when he gets caught. Poor savannah 😹

  23. Do yall remember when the internet said Lebron and AD hated each other because AD didn’t clap a bunch when Bron broke the scoring record?

    Social media is absolutely trash.

  24. Global_Lion2261

Lebrons court vision so good he can see Ham signaling with his hands in his pockets

  25. driggs_94

I don’t think he’s standing up for Ham, he is just tired of being called coach and GM when he just tries to play basketball and be a good team mate.

  26. wrexy_619

I don’t think Lebron cares who his coach is at this point, he just wants to pressure Ham to put his foot in the role players asses to perform.

  27. atierney14

This is good vibes stuff because Ham isn’t getting fired mid year. That’s just as big a nail in the coffin

  28. Well now we all look like idiots, so there’s that…
