So just how was the event this morning and how’ you like just H us all coming together sorry say the last part again how it’s all coming together there we go that went really well it was a really really cool event in Partnership um with college dream just just trying to figure
Out ways continue to get back to the community um it was a great turnout a lot of people came out um and what we’re really most excited about is the kids and being able to help um change the trajectory of some of these kids’ lives some of these fam’s lives and make the
College experience easy you had like you know Congressman out there you had the mayor like could you tell that like that really mattered to to people like the people in this community absolutely a lot of people came out for it and I’m thankful and appreciative of the support
Um that they’re they’re giving not only myself but these kids here in New Orleans and we’re we’re excited about this program we’re excited about um all the impactful work that we’re going to be able to accomplish with these kids in their future and I think in a lot of
Your community work you focus a lot on education helping kids in that front I guess why has that been a priority for you trying to you know get your kids in school yeah I I think it’s just understanding the process of what it was like for for myself to go to college
Understanding um the fact that I I had to get a scholarship to go understanding the fact that there’s many people out there my wife included who um are are going through the loan process going through the application process and it can be difficult and then I think just
Historically and and and figuring out ways to impact I think it’s important you figure out ways to allow the kids to dream big and in conversations I’ve had with Ashley and and members of my agency uh the biggest Focus that we’ve kind of worked on collectively is to provide
Unique opportunities uh for these kids they wouldn’t normally be able to experience and then try to figure out how to make it unique uh to the market and that’s what we’ve done here in New Orleans from a basketball perspective uh one of the things Willie mentioned you
Wanted to use this this time in between games this week to kind of like iron out some of the the fit with the starting lineup Bard some things you guys have have focused on on you know things are going well but how that could even fit together even better uh just just
Getting more time into play and kind of sort through some of the stuff uh in private I think it’s always nice no fans uh obviously practice matters but um it’s it’s it’s more for you to kind of figure out how to get better a little conditioning little drills that you can
Run little execution um that we can kind of focus on whether that’s spots on the floor whether that’s our spacing or whether that’s our initiation of the offense so I think we worked on all those things we gotten better defensively at our communication and just tightened up some stuff to make us
More successful and we’ve been great defensively this year but we want to continue to improve how much do you think it’s helped just to have a couple days just to be able to get up and down in practice and work some stuff it’s good you know I haven’t been able to
Work out you know in a little while just because of the load of the games and practices so being able to kind of work work on some things and adjust uh whether that’s 10 minutes 15 minutes of finishing ball handling you know shooting the ball just being able to get
Some work in outside the on actual game day is nice after a tough loss on Friday what’s the focus got to be coming up here this week with two more Western Conference opponents I mean every game you got to go compete um try to beat teams under 500 protect home court so I

The game on Friday you guys are getting good looks in terms of three-point shooting even compared to the stretch where you guys has a team shot really well I mean you feel like um overall it’s just you guys are continuing to create good looks it’s just a matter of
Sometimes you have games where you just don’t make them yeah I mean it’s an 82 Game season so you a going to make majority of your shots most nights you’re going to miss so you got to be able to bounce back you know look at the Quality it’s the quality shots are we
Generating driving kicks are we getting Corner threes and I think if you check in those boxes and you can live with the results cuz guys put the work in guys spend time trying to get better uh working on the shots they’re going to taking the game so uh majority of the
