We’re better than we were in the past on the road because before we were just God awful this was a game where we should have won this is a game we should have won and we found a way to lose it um multiple ways um credit to the Houston

Rockets for playing pretty solid on their own their home floor right Jabari Smith nine of 19 four of eight from three 10 boards right SE 15 of 26 hit the one three he took six to 10 from the free throw line 14 boards right you just those are two big time performances

Cam Whitmore Off the Bench in 27 minutes you know six of 13 four of six from three-point range fed van was really the only guy that had a bad that we forced have a bad game I mean Jaylen green had a bad game too he was three of 120 six

From three but fedan vet really that eight of 19 but at the same time Colin ston and Jordan Clarkson didn’t have great shooting that themselves uh Jordan CL was obviously more stomach B actually than Colin seon was and Larry Markin didn’t have a great night either so recipe for uh not great basically

We uh let me see something I’m not going to lie guys there was there was some ugly things there was there was a lot of ugly things wow um from oai having the most massive negative box score plus minus to Keon George also being A3 something that’s really interesting

It’s actually impressive that Colin seon somehow managed to shoot 11 of 27 right which is his High season high in field goals and actually not his lowest field goal percentage but he was two7 from three so not great from three-point range right but um even if you take

Those out he was nine of 20 from the field or from inside the arc which isn’t terrible he was four four from the free throw line right three boards five assists two steals two turnovers but he had four personal fouls but admittedly he played 40 minutes

Um even with all that he was a box score plus minus of a plus 12 which is impressive Chris Dunn in 27 minutes was four of six from the field hit one of his two threes hit one of his two free throws had eight rebounds seven assists

A steal and only two personal fouls so really he was one of those guys where it was just a you know something should have came of that and we didn’t get the job done like we needed to um but at the same time you know credit to the Houston Rockets because

They have been a scrappy team as of late they haven’t been a push over to anybody and um correct me if I’m wrong but I think we just made them 500 I think they were 21 and 22 but you know one great coping mechanism cake chocolate cake specifically can’t go wrong with coping

B you keep getting caught out of position both of which aren’t ideal but when you’re in a situation where everybody else when you are the offensive passing Hub in that second unit you can get away with having slightly poor defense as long as everybody else is play is playing well

But if everybody else isn’t shooting great well your Effectiveness is diminished on offense therefore we cannot afford to play you because of your defense inaptitude andness excuse me can’t box out C defend just bad bad bad it was rough today lry didn’t shoot well n he didn’t have a great shooting night

Either um him and seon both combined for five of 18 from three an anomaly right um even with it we were still in this game this was a game we should have won we were up during those you know those last 25 seconds of Regulation and then

Obviously they tied it went in OT out scored by one not ideal was it me or were they way way physical and got away with a lot of crap a little bit I saw I did actually see a little bit of what you were referring to

Um that said I expected a little bit of of them I expected them to let us get Scrappy because when you think of the Rockets you think of the Jazz neither of them are like Bonafide phenomenal you know teams that everybody wants to watch so you’re gonna let they’re gonna let

The boys play for whichever team’s at home more likely It’s Gonna Get You Know away with some ST which happened to be the Houston Rockets today tough loss yeah Flair makes no sense for Larry not to get the last shot it’s a whole lot going on

Um they gota live with lots of yeah se’s getting fouled every time and they can call it yeah that this is one of those things where it’s like I’m willing I’ve fully accepted that every time sexon goes through him even if he makes the right play because

Absolutely need four I need four out of the six three out of six is not good um three of his 10 rebounds were offensive he had three assist and he did have five blocks right um also had three turnovers though which is kind of which is pretty high for him all things

Considered we said oen cannot rebound no he was not getting boards today why is Lowry getting so little touches recently in close games it’s weird because at times it seems like it’s not schemed for Lowry and other times it looks like l is too easily removed from a play which is

Also a concern that I had the other game when we just recently lost because there was a few possessions where there was a couple it was like two or three inbounds plays side Sidelines out of bounds where Lowry had an action to get the ball but

It just didn’t seem like he was decisive in going for it and then he was so easily removed by the next person that came to cut the by by his Defender effectively um I’m not saying it’s entirely his fault right because part of its scheme right so that goes out down

Arguably really his best game so far this season 10 points eight rebounds seven assists one steal no no turnovers right to me I understand you you want to run your two guard lineup of Clarkson and SE to close the game out but when Chris Dunn is doing that was

Doing that well over the course of the game to me I have to play him because I don’t I can’t get this Chris Dunn every night right Chris Dunn isn’t viable to sit there and give you eight boards and seven assists every night seven assists maybe eight boards probably not and then

He gave you no turnovers to boot and he shot more than two or three free field goals he shot six right so he was on one tonight by his standards so I I feel like we can’t we kind of wasted that performance from him a little bit um but you

Think it’s important for him to get these minutes and if we move him to the G League it’s going to be too easy for him and I want him to go through this struggling portion of the season um D was a plus 17 yep feel like Kessler needs to be more aggressive yes

Plan on not we don’t feel the most urgency to trade him that said right we can’t have a game against the rockets and you shoot three of nine from the field 0 of four from three right that’s not a good look he had six boards two assists he didn’t have any turnovers

Though and only two personal fouls seven points so not the worst but we need those four threes back especially if Taylor Hendricks is the guy sitting on the bench right because I have you in the game for offense and you’re shooting touch because you have it Walker ker is

On the bench because he can’t shoot like you can so I need you to prove me right every game in the games that he doesn’t it kind of makes people Lean Like if we lose those games like we lost today it makes people lean closer to like hey we

Gotta we gotta pack him up there’s a rookie that really need that really could use 20 minutes if we give Taylor Hendricks 20 minutes and give him the same responsibilities which just gave John Collins I’m not going to say he outperforms John Collins but I’m also saying he doesn’t not outperform John

Collins that said I understand the system that we have right now it was working for a long period of time so they they hesitate to change it um we are on the road trip it’s going to be tough we really needed this one this was one of those games where you where you

Go back at time and you kick yourself in the butt in the rear end because you really wanted it and it’s like I’d rather lose to the bucks on the road or Boston on the road or Cleveland on the road then lose to the rockets on the

Road right that is it’s one of those kind of things um also what’s good love your stuff appreciate you Slum Dog yes sir yes sir what’s good I do think they had a tough time dealing with the Rockets defense yes time to trade Kelly it’s it’s getting kind of close guess’s

Before but like over the past 20ish games I really understood it and it’s um actually impressive but also problematic in a way let’s play from Clarkson probably should gave it a SE right there definitely arguable mhm George should be in the G League his men is hurt rather than help at this

Time the biggest thing with G George is I like he’s been a little bit more efficient as of late but he hasn’t he’s not showing the turnaround that like Jordan Clarkson had remember Jordan Clarks was shooting 30% from the field and 29% from three and now I believe he’s close to

Like 44 percent don’t don’t don’t kill me on that but overall like his his splits after getting moved to the bench have drastically improved that’s the point whereas Keon Off the Bench more recently like post injury his efficiency has gone up but it’s like hovering around 40% from the field and

33 34% from three which isn’t great um combine that with uh at times horrendous defense and you have a very problematic situation and you want to give him the minutes because that’s the guy where you’re in your head you’re saying that’s supposed to be our future guy so he needs to know

What it’s like now so when the time comes for him to take the Reigns he’s ready completely understandable but we’re going to reach a point where like his efficiency is too damaging because I need one of the other right Chris dun doesn’t take a lot of shots but he’s a

Lock down on defense he’s a playmaker and a table setter like no other right so those are two thing he brings a little bit to offense but a heck of a lot to defense so you know what you’re getting out of that with keante it’s like okay he might have an efficient

Night tonight but we’re probably not going to get great defense out of him we’re going to get maybe slight negative slight negative on a good day we’re getting slight negative defense out of Keon and we’ll get a good solid shooting night from three we’re just not getting that

Recently or not recently but today was just one of those games where you know things didn’t pan out his way and because of that they sat him on the bench rightfully so right the best thing you can do when somebody’s having a bad night is recognize it early recognize if

They are or are not going to get out of the shooting slump and bench them if they’re not that is the big difference between the team now and the team before we had Jordan Clarks and keontay George starting both of them shot terrible and people want dependent only on Jordan

Clarkson ke was shooting like absolute hot dog water back then as well it in larger numbers but because Jordan Clarkson was the veteran and he was the guy that everybody was comfortable blaming things on he took the fall forward a lot the time well now we’re in

Walker ball Hogs or Kell I actually don’t hate that bench keante oai Bryce Taylor if Bryce is who I think Bryce could potentially be like right now I actually don’t hate that because I I trust Taylor right now over oai because Taylor with the without touching the ball on offense shoots the

Ball better than oai so far from what I’ve seen from what I’ve seen this year this year um keante in oai Taylor and Walker Kessler on the court at the same time is some insane defense that’s insane but Bryce and Keon have to be able to score Walker

Kessle will have to be explosive on offense um Taylor’s gonna have to hit his shots and oai is gonna have to provide some something like whether would be fast breaks off Steels cool we’re gonna need something out of him as well but I I actually don’t hate that comment um I

Actually kind of fancy that fanto is taking Hendrick M I really wouldn’t say fanto is because he plays a different role I really wouldn’t say that I would say it was it is definitely more so Collins um because Hendricks is in a face up game type of guy and that was the biggest

Reason why we didn’t play him at the beginning of the season because he didn’t have that in his bag and him being in the G League was supposed to improve that aspect of his game because we knew he could shoot in playgr defense but we were like okay you scored back to

Basket in college we need you to score like Mano imano face to face hand to hand not back to front that was the biggest thing um I don’t know how you bench out who you bench out SE and Clarkson but dun should have been in there at the
