OFFICIAL Midseason Winners Of Every NBA Award…

OFFICIAL Midseason Winners Of Every NBA Award…

We’ve reached the halfway point of the 2024 NBA season and in this time we’ve learned a lot about each and every player and team competing the playoff picture is starting to take shape the early flukes are starting to come back down to reality and the awards races are

Really starting to heat up which is where our Focus will be in today’s video today we’ll be going through every major individual award and we’ll be picking out who the leader in the clubhouse is as things currently stand along with identifying two Runners of up close behind them in the running obviously the

Awards in question today are the Sixth Man of the Year most improved player Rookie of the Year defensive player of the year and the MVP before we start though it turns out a good amount of you watching right now aren’t even subscribed to the channel so if you

Enjoy the content consider hitting the Subscribe Button as not only does it help out a ton but I’d also very much appreciate it now with that being said let’s begin we’ll start off with the Sixth Man of the Year and the winner halfway through the season is Tim

Hardway Jr of the Dallas Mavericks the Mavericks this season have been bouncing back well after last year’s disappointment but it’s still been a bit of a bumpy road dealing with injuries as Kyrie Irving has missed about 15 games and LCA donic has missed quite a few as

Well Tim Hardaway Jr has filled in wherever he’s been needed and has been a spark plug of offense each and every night he’s scoring about 18 points per game and he does it as an incredibly high volume three-point shooter taking the fifth most threes per game in the

Entire league this year year when he catches fire there’s not much that will slow him down which can be lethal playing alongside Superstar Talent like luga donic and Kyrie Irving right behind him in the running though we have Malik Monk and Jordan Clarkson as the runners up at this moment monk is currently

Having the best season of his career Off the Bench for Sacramento this year scoring a career-high 15 points per game knocking down 39% of his threes and dishing out 5 and 1 half assists per night the strides he’s made as a playmaker as well as a quality shot

Creator have him firmly in the mix Clarkson actually began the seasons as a starter but suffered an injury about 23 games into the year and when he returned to the court he was moved into that sixthman role which has not only ignited his season but the Jazz have also been

On an absolute tear since that switch as well Clarkson is averaging over 20 points per game Since switching to the bench and the Jazz have won 11 of their last 15 games in that span as well so if that momentum continues Clarkson could make a real run at winning this award

Next up is the most improved player award and the winner Midway through the season is Tyrese Maxi of the Philadelphia 76ers there wasn’t much optimism for the 76ers coming into the year with all of the James Harden drama going on but the team has managed to

Stay at the top of the East hanging with the best of the bunch because Maxi has been fully Unleashed and has emerged into a legitimate All-Star Talent he’s averaging career highs in points assists rebounds Steals and blocks per game game putting up about 26 points and seven

Assists a night he’s much more assertive this season he’s a threat from all three levels with a terrific pull-up Jumper in the mid-range a useful floater and excellent touch around the basket too he’s looking like a lock to make the All-Star team this season which is a big

Leap from what he was last year as a quality scorer as a third option but not really in that conversation as for the runners up here we have Scotty Barnes and alperin shenon Barnes was the Rookie of the Year in 2022 but didn’t really improved that much last season so now in

Year three he is shining so bright that the Raptors felt comfortable trading away Pascal cakam to fully hand the keys over to him he’s an extremely versatile player on both ends of the floor scoring about 20 points grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out about six assists per

Game two while taking more threes and making them more efficiently than his first two years so all around he has looked way better as for shenon he’s probably the player I’d just barely put behind Maxi in the running as he has improved a ton not only as a scorer but

He’s also a much bigger focal point in the Rockets offense utilizing his passing talent that has him being compared to a young Nicola yic early in his career the next award up is the Rookie of the Year and the winner Midway through the season is Victor wanyama of

The San Antonio Spurs This is the award with the tightest race right now in my opinion because Victor and Chad holgren are legitimately neck and neck with two different yet totally valid arguments to be made for each I myself have gone back and forth between the two of them as

Well plenty of times because of this but I side with wanyama ever so slightly right now wanyama doesn’t even play 30 minutes per game and yet he is leading the entire NBA in blocks per game and he’s doing that while also putting up 20 points and 10 rebounds a night as well

This is Elite production from a firste player and he’s absolutely been living up to the hype early on the Spurs may not not be winning all that much but rookie of the year has never really been an award about winning games because the best rookies are typically drafted to

Bad teams in general with that being said though obviously Chad holgren is the first runner up along with haime hwz Chad’s argument for the award here is that the production is only ever so slightly worse than wemy while doing so as a third option on one of the best

Teams in the NBA he’s putting up about 17 points and seven rebounds per game while ranking fourth in the league in blocks per game as for hakz he’s been a big surprise candidate this year outperforming all expectations in Miami breaking into the rotation because he has proven to be already an efficient

Scoring threat putting up about 14 points per game shooting 51% from the field he’s incredibly fundamentally sound and knows how to get to his spots and convert so once again the Heat have found themselves a gem the next award is the defensive player of the year and the

Midseason winner here is Rudy goar of the Minnesota Timberwolves when the Wolves traded for goar two summers ago this is exactly what they were envisioning it may have taken a year of growing pains to get here but now that things have begun to gel they are dominating the defensive end of the

Floor ranking as the number one defense in the league which for this Timberwolves franchise seemed impossible just a few short years ago goar is back to performing at the level that he was at in his Jazz days locking down the paint serving as an anchor to make the

Lives of the Defenders around him easier and when guys do try to score at the basket with him looming they shoot whopping 15% worse than expected when you’re doing all of that while anchoring the number one ranked defense in the NBA it’s a pretty good case to win this

Award so once again he is the man to beat here as for the runners up we have bam adabo and Chad holgren adabo is once again having an underrated defensive season where his second to none versatility on that end has been crucial to the heat ranking in the top 10

Defensively nobody can switch onto any position and lock them down as flawlessly as adabo doeses and he plugs a lot of the holes by players defending around him as for hrin it’s incredibly impressive for him to be in this conversation as well anchoring a top five defense in the league while also

Ranking in the top five in blocks per game his presence has been a huge part of the Thunder taking as large of a leap as they have as a team this year and it starts with the fact that he’s been vital to the Improvement on the defensive end for them and finally the

Last and arguably biggest Award of all is the MVP award and the mid-season winner here is Joel embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers Joel embiid took this award home last season to the dismay of many so what did he do this year he just came out playing even better in nearly

Every way imaginable to defend his crown he’s scoring a career-high 35 points per game to lead the NBA in scoring for a third year in a row he’s dishing out a career-high six assists per game embracing more playmaking with the added attention without James Harden being there he’s grabbing more rebounds this

Year than he did last year he shooting better from three this year than he did last year and his complete dominance has been the biggest reason why the 76ers are still hanging around the top of the standings sitting just a half game back of Milwaukee for second place in the

East now as for the runners up we have Nicola yic and Shea gilis Alexander for a fourth year in a row it’s looking like the MVP debate will be between embiid and Nicola yic because those two are just playing on another level from the rest of the pack yic is still the

Nightly triple double threat posting absurd numbers across the board as he’s always been so as the season progresses he’s going to continue making a case to surpass mid for the MVP as for SGA he’s a deserving candidate worthy of recognition because he’s leading this thunder Squad to Heights very few

Thought would be capable So currently they’re sitting in second place in the west and he’s a big reason why he’s leading the way for them scoring 31 points per game shooting ridiculous 55% from the field as a guard proving to be absolutely Unstoppable when he gets to

His spots gets in the paint and creates some space he’s also leading the league in steals per game generating a lot of turnovers that create easy offensive opportunities for this young and spry group and every time the Thunder knead a basket down the stretch of a game he is

There to come through for them and with that being said that’s all I have for you today make sure to like the video subscribe to the channel and comment down below what you think about the awards races so far halfway through thanks for watching and I’ll see you all next time

In this video we pick out the winner of every major 2024 NBA halfway through the season along with discussing some other players in the race just behind them. MVP, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player, Sixth Man of the Year

  1. I love Embiid but if he wins a second mvp he better atleast get to the finals cause as a nuggets fan when Jok went back to back people were tearing him up about not getting far in the playoffs (not everyone) and all this talk about ohh his play doesn’t lead to playoff success then he shut everyone up and got a ring… so all I know is that Embiid better get that same heat if he doesn’t get far …ps I understand the MVP is a regular season award but it should translate to playoff success.. cough cough last year against the Celtics 🤷🏾‍♂️

  2. I like all the takes, however I think you have the most improved player award all wrong. All the guys you named were expected to be good. Maxey was a 20ppg scorer last year and was given a bigger role. The other two guys are players under 22 years old who are developing. You expect your lottery picks to get better in their first few seasons. The clear candidates for this award are Coby White and Dante Exum. Coby White averaged less than 10ppg last year and it looked like his career was trending in the wrong direction, and now he's putting up 19 a night, and the Bulls have been winning since he's been starting. Dante Exum was out of the league playing overseas since 2020, and is now playing a massive role on a contending Mavs team. Those players weren't expected to get better, and they did so in a massive way. The players you named are better than both this guys, but are far less deserving of this particular award.

  3. Your take about Wemby vs Chet felt off and disconnected from what we’ve seen the past month. Wemby has the lead quite comfortably rn

  4. Wemby is so far ahead of Chet that you literally have to try to avoid looking at the facts to not know this. Wemby is also clearly DPOY as well. It's just ignorant and nothing but a clown opinion coming from a clan.

  5. The real winners:

    1. 6th man: Ben Simmons
    2. Most improved: Jordan Poole
    3. Best coach: Steve Kerr
    4. DPOY: Draymond Green
    5. Rookie OTY: Scoot Henderson
    6. MVP: Jordan Poole

  6. Wemby got exposed! Embiid sized him up before the clock ticks, that's when he decided to get 70 piece. Next is Chet. Yes, size do matters. lmao

  7. Sorry, good stuff, but Chet should be running away with ROY because his impact in winning. Wemby only has better counting stats

  8. Sengun is the best player on the team and the person other teams game plan for. Maxey is a secondary option behind the league MVP.

  9. Only the NBA would have an award for the 60th best player in the league (6th man of the year award)

  10. What does wemby have to do to win roty at this point? Has surpassed Chet’s stats even more this past month than he already was, and is still a “very close race”. Chet is having a great rookie year but cmon when has team success ever mattered. Wemby has been far better individually even when getting the main focus from defenses in the league rather than playing with an mvp candidate and the severely underrated J-dub. But wemby has been great so I guess he’s setting new standards for awards so idk

  11. Last season even tho they won 40 games as rebuilding team OKCs biggest glaring weaknesses that kept them out the playoffs was their lack of an interior presence and rim protection they were the worst interior defense team in the NBA. Now at the time of this comment they are the 1st seed in the West are the 5th best defense, lead the league in Blocks and give up the second least amount of points in the paint. Chet Has fixed our biggest defensive issue.

  12. You have Chet as a runner-up in the race for DPOY, even though he's demonstrably not as good as Wembanyama on the defensive end… Go figure.

  13. I don't see Wembanyama winning the ROTY award. All the media have already made up their minds. They already have Chet as their ROTY. So regardless of what Wemby does for the rest of the season, he may not get it. Richard Jefferson, Stephen A, JJ Reddick are all riding Chet and ignoring what Wemby has been doing as of late. It's so dumb that for the first time in history, the ROTY award will be based on team success. Just last night, Chet dropped 8 pts and his team still won. Imagine if it was Wemby who scored single digit? Yeah right the Spurs will lose by 30+.
