I can't see 4 more wins coming before now and the end of the regular season…thats 16 wins at most…another losing season.. jim Obrien's last season was a losing season and Thad Matta came and OSU won 20 games and that from a twam that was banned from post season tournament because of Jim Obrien's baggage…after that 2 Big Ten championships in a row and a string of great years of OSU BASKETBALL….This can't go on
Being a kid in the '80s, and a teen & young man in the '90s it was so tough to see Nebraska have the success they had under Danny Nee and come up short in their 5 tourney berths. He got so much criticism. I said to locals, do you realize how lucky we are at the time, they were at least competitive, they were pretty good, 1990 on. Haven't been as good since Nee was here. He wasn't appreciated. But that's in the past, I was overjoyed when they got this hire of Fred Hoiberg right. They are finally a competitive team again. I don't know all the reasons in his heart, mind, and soul for taking the job, (I did see his press conference years ago, his grandfather coached here, that helped), but I've said for a long time, if you could convince a great coach, and they did, and players to come here and get the job done, win an NCAA tournament game, tbey'd probably build statues or a monument, retire your numbers in the rafters, whatever, you'll be remembered forever by Nebraska basketball fans if you're one of the men that gets this thing done. !😊
