Myself a little bit here but this makes sense on how he was kind of able to turn back the clock so much and then like sure statistically speaking his stats don’t scream uh Peak Tristan Thompson they they definitely do not but like that he was making plays in certain ways that

Just like were really beneficial but in terms of like a basketball sense I think it’s tough it’s frustrating if you’re Cleveland because you’re already down so many bodies I believe they have like 11 maybe 12 players available am bats is suspended for the next two games in the

G League after entering the stands the other night against when the charge played the Birmingham Squadron um so it’s just tough um I I think you have the luxury of Evan Moy coming back and Darius Garland as well and Tristan Thompson will likely be a fringed guy in the rotation when this

Team is fully heeld healthy but he isn’t allowed to be on the bench he isn’t allowed to be in the arena 2 hours before tip off so like there’s a little bit of wiggle room there where like he can provide you that quote unquote veteran uh mentorship and

Guidance that maybe JB bigger staff for the coaching staff can’t but just more so just the fact like this this Cav team is struggling to kind of have quality depth at all times like this is just another blow and kind of an unfortunate one that could have been

Team is playing and it’s just like I don’t know it’s just it it’s I think like you said stupid stupid is right but I think disappointing is the other way to look at it too just it’s be be the be the adult yeah it’s selfish be the adult

Trist and Thompson’s part it is dumb you there are things look NBA players if they want to smoke weed I think they should be able to smoke weed if they want to like they’re going to go out and party with trist like a lot of guys do

That Tristan is no stranger to that you’re right the the thing that is very clear that you should just not do is take performance anding drugs and when you do it it is like when you are late for things it is like when you’re partner you know let your partner down it is

Obviously on a different scale but it is one of these little things that lets down the people around you it lets down your team it lets down your locker room yes he can still be there but he can’t be there on game nights I I can’t I I

Would bet you a lot of guys feel a certain way about the fact that he got suspended I think the organization probably feels a certain how he get suspended they do if they handle it very delicately this is dumb and this is selfish on Thompson’s part the

Basketball side of it I think is pretty straightforward you have Damen Jones I don’t think backup center is like a real big issue as far as needing to go out and get someone right now I don’t think Damen Jones has been good I don’t think he’s particularly good there’s a reason

Thompson was ahead of him but you have other needs if you’re going to fill stuff and if there’s ever been a time to just try Isa Moy on his two-way deal and see if he can give you anything in NBA level maybe now is the time just to

Throw him out there throw him into the deep end and actually see what you got if you think there’s anything worth developing there yeah I agree unfortunately he is is unavailable against Milwaukee for Wednesday’s game I know Moy has been seen wearing a back brace sometimes uh on the bench for the

Cavs when he is in Street close so maybe there’s something going on there with the charge but uh it’s neither here nor there uh like you said what Thompson did was incredibly selfish um and I am curious one how he looks like you know especially now that he has to keep his

Nose clean going forward and two like how how is the dichotomy within the locker like JB picker staff isn’t going to like drag him publicly but like privately how do the Cavs handle this to make sure like you know the locker room isn’t lost or this is like you said the guy you

Brought in to kind of be like your cultural Conor Cornerstone like failed you and such spectacular way like how do you respond to this and not let it weigh down a lot of the good that has happened lately Thompson also in the minutes that he’s played has been a really effective

Are dealing with and can they play their typical style of basketball like assert their dominance early and just not let the outside noise kind of seize the narrative or the momentum and they just take care of business and then shift their focus for friday you know to me the most interesting part of

It is just going to be the defensive part of it I want Giannis to play because I want to watch a compelling basketball game yes I’m sure if you’re a DI hard fan and I there was something fun just watching it at covering this team that was really fun about the fact

That the Cavs just wreck the Bucks and killed them the last time out there was something interesting about that at the same time I want to see how this Cav team that has a really good has been playing really good defense as of late at least statistically and all of that

And has some challenges I think in how they exactly match up with Milwaukee when they’re going to play two bigs because they just have like the one big right now Tristan actually funnily enough would have probably played some real minutes in this game and I guess

This might be the hey let’s give Damen Jones some run now I guess oh but do G how the Cavs defendis and handle all that to me I want to see how this group handles something like that that is obviously a very highend unique

Problem to solve but that to me is a is number one on the list of the actual basketball things I want to see this game yeah that’s number one for me as well if Giannis does play how do they handle that is it a lot of it is going

To be Jared Allen I believe just like protecting at The Rim just because that’s where Giannis is the most potent in terms of just having a full head of steam and attacking the basket like people joke all the time about that Madden play where it’s just let run up

The middle Prett Giannis but there’s that and I think that is just going to be hard because Allan has talked before like it is really hard to defend him without fouling and he’s like there’s a lot of moments where he just provides you so much pressure and hits you with

So much physicality it’s kind of like a copout a little bit just to foul Giannis intentionally or just kind of give him the like swipe down on him so like either you stop the n one opportunity allow him to go to the free throw line

You pick up the foul he’s like that that is part of the challenge of defending him then number two for me is how does Damian Lillard handle the pressure uh GB picker staff and I would say Isaac aoro or even Dean Wade at times too throw it

Oh Lillard because even without Yan it’s like the Cavs made a conserned effort to sh off Daman Lillard’s water when they played last Wednesday in Cleveland and it was very effective it had a massive trickle down effect on how the Bucks were able to operate and then thirdly

Like Chris Middleton and Brook Lopez are both very good Lopez had a better night than Middleton did but these teams last played but like how do you kind of contain those tertiary role players like high upside role players or if you can’t contain them are you able to match them

Shot for shot especially with like Lopez and Middleton being more three-point oriented whereas Cleveland’s bigs don’t have that luxury like they do like the buck do with Lopez the other thing about this game that matters is and we will hit this a lot in the months and weeks to come is

That every game has some weight for the Cavs right now because the middle of the East is really competitive Cavs are right now three games back of the Bucks who are the second seed in the East they’re half a game back of Philly they’re also three games ahead of Miami

Who just acquired ter reier right so the middle of and they’re a game ahead of the Knicks and they are also three games ahead of the Indiana Pacers and a little further ahead of the the magic who have slid back a little bit it’s that eight

Seed maybe as low as two or three in the East but probably somewhere between three and seven is going to be really competitive in the East and if you want to maximize your seating if you want to have home cord in the first round um even if they even if for first home

Court in the first round means you get Boston in r two and you’re massive Underdog in that series anyway you want that as opposed to having to to be in the plane tournament or be the six seed and and go somewhere in round one everything that the Cavs every game

That Cavs play here to the rest of the way is going to have some value because this is going to end up being really close Miami is coming the Knicks are right there the Sixers are right there this is going to be competitive so every

Would at least not Chad cuz Chad sticks out cuz he’s just like proportionately just doesn’t make as much sense but like Kessler’s a big dude but I I chuckle because he kind of feels fills that vein of like John Stockton putting on pedestrian clothes and like carrying a

Video camera with his family and people not knowing he’s a part of Team USA like Walker kastler could feel that mold but yeah Jarett like maybe whatever like if he does that’s awesome good for him like I think that’s Testament to how well he’s played or just performed compared to the rest

Of the field but I think it’s just an an honor of itself to be invited out to Vegas before you head over to Paris um I I agree with you Donovan definitely um could represent but maxu did say when they were in Paris that he is German and polish in Heritage
