How is no one talking about Chet being in his second year and that's why he has a slight advantage. Chet is not the best player in his team
Okc is the better team obviously. Chet is technically ahead of wembanyama given he was drafted a year ahead and was developed more nba ready. But when it comes to awards related to performance, making clutch shots to win games against the Nuggets or Timberwolves mean a little bit more than making a few more buckets in a 20 point blowout loss which happens to be #10 in a row for your team.
Chet has legitimately been the difference maker in the last 2 minutes of games that controlled who was at the top of the Western Conference. That's something to be considered when talking about Rookie of the Year.
