[Charania] Sources: Doc Rivers is signing a contract through the 2026-27 season worth in the range of $40 million to be the Bucks’ head coach. Milwaukee is paying out former coaches Mike Budenholzer and Adrian Griffin, and now Rivers for next 3.5 years.

Yeah we’re cooked. Nick nurse and kenny Atkinson were right there and we do this 6 months later 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀

  3. Prunty has killed before and he will kill again, this is merely a bump in the road

After last night’s game I’m fully recovered from the doom and gloom of the past week

Doc Rivers will be worth the money, no doubt about it

I trust in Horst and I trust in Giannis

    Bucks in Six

Lmao thank the lord this doesn’t affect the books and only the owners’ pockets.

Difficult to remain positi- Fuck it we ball. Let’s roll with Doc.

  7. I’d have no problem with this signing if it was till the end of this year. But this, no, this is a disaster. We are getting fucked over just because Glenn fucking Rivers has an advantageous bargaining position. I’d rather go with PruntGod if Rivers is asking for a 4 year deal.

Maybe we just swap the three occasionally when we’re in a rut.

Hiring Griffin was just an all-time bad move.

Well I hope the owners are ready to be paying for 4 coaches in like a year or two or otherwise this could very well be a disastrous deal. I can’t believe they were so dead set on Doc of all people that they gave him this kind of deal.

  11. DapperTies-

Can’t wait for the Doc redemption team that gives him multiple championships and is labeled as one of the best coaches to ever touch the hardwood.

  12. I don’t think it’s an ideal hire but the people giving up on the season are ridiculous. We have Giannis and Dame on the same team. Until I see them flame out in the postseason, I’m gonna be confident they can make a run.

  13. **I’m a Doc defender until 2027. Let’s ride.**

  14. AbandonedOrange

Doc will be the greatest coach we ever had(I’m delusional)

10 mill is nothing compared to spoelstra and monty.

    Not our money!

  16. Cantguard-mike

I know we didn’t want a multi year…but do coaches ever NOT sign multi years?

  17. I want to have so much money I can afford to pay 3 people for a job only 1 is doing.

  18. holy fuck they are paying the man. eating the rich one coach at a time

    Horst…

  20. boogerheadmusic

Did not want this, but willing to think positively for a bit. This is better than Griff

  21. Skeleboi846

Giannis will be 32, Khris will be 35, Dame will be 36 and Brook will most likely be retired by the time his contract ends. With 2 other large coach salaries on the books this is potentially the last coach of our window, hope it works out

Haslam could pay 10 Doc Rivers and not notice a dent in his bank account.
