His trade return is hopefully a notch above what Josh Hart got, being a seller’s market this year and shooting 42% from 3.

He keeps us in most games but does come with excessive health risks, defo split on keeping him vs not as Scoot hasn’t proven to be ready for a starting spot at all

Cronin has a serious chance to really set himself for a Presti/Ainge like haul with our veterans this year.
Grant + Thybulle for Barnes/Davion/Lyles + 2 1sts, 1 swap
Brogdon for a 1st and a decent young player (Grimes + 1st or Kenyon Martin Jr + 1st)
He has a serious chance to set us up for a seriously strong rebuild with a treasure chest of first round picks and swaps.

let the bidding war begin. Let’s see who offers a decent 1st round and/or a young prospect first.

In The Ringer today Zach Kram proposed Brogdon to the Knicks for Evan Fournier and the Knicks (lottery-protected) 2024 1st. Right now that would be the 22nd pick, which in this draft…. I would be turning down.

A “first round pick” can be so many different values now.
Is it protected? From a bad team? Soon or far out in the future?
The value from a bad team unprotected 2025 1st is worlds apart from a 2028 lottery protected puck

If Rozier is worth a buy out candidate and a 27 first what the hell are we gonna get for Brogden? I don’t see him as a meaningfully better player than Rozier.

Nicks or Magic step on up!

I am fairly confident that no one is giving Portland a frp for Malcom Brogdon. Just keep him as veteran leadership for the young guards.

I would hope so…

That seems reasonable. They’re probably gonna do what they did with Josh Hart where they let him choose between two destinations who made similar offers.

Well yeah… we aren’t gonna just give him away
