Has Jonathan Kuminga Developed His Left Hand & Isolation Skills?
After the celebration of life for the assistant coach Dei the Warriors hosted a Hawks team without trayon for the first game in more than a week jnan kaminga leted the W by tyan dubs franchise record for 11 out of 11 field goals and I want to break down how he
Has developed his decision-making skills in isolation with his left hand and off the cash so let’s break this down JK has scored more than 20 points in his last four games and he has gotten much better at taking on mismatches here he gets in post position and the
Warriors completely let him go to work on a small with Garrison Matthews with the Hawks not doubling kaminga goes left with a couple strong bumps then uses his basketball IQ and predicts the last bump and body contact before rising up simultaneously get the bucket and the foul he’s still not the most reliable
Spot up shooter so when we get a two-on-one Advantage here it completely makes sense for Murray to help off the strong side corner one pass away Draymond is not going to force the shot here but with a kickout pass I love how JK has stopped hesitating and instead
Attacks off the catch with a Shimmy Shake he’s able to get Murray even slightly off balance before taking a couple patient dribbles with his left and again Atlanta does not double recently I’ve realized he’s developed some sort of mid-range fade away where he’s able to not force the ball in
Traffic around the rim and instead rise up against smaller guards and gets a clean look from 10 ft even off a defensive rebound he’s become more aggressive pushing the ball up the court the second he sees a small guard he sizes them up and again does
Not settle kaminga has been able to keep his dribble alive and attack in isolation and here he’s able to penetrate and go up with his weak left hand for a high percentage shot around the basket this is probably my favorite move the game with Jaylen Johnson reasonably giving him space on the perimeter
Kaminga slightly shot fakes and again attacks the paint similar play like earlier he keeps his dribble alive with his left hand but because he knows Johnson is as big if not bigger than him JK fakes a step back into a shot fake knowing Johnson would try to go up and
Block the shot instead uses a step through for a wide open layup and that’s great footwork another great example of JK’s maturation with Steph about to set an on ball pick the Hawks are worried about him and want to keep dejonte Murray stuck on him so kaminga looks towards
The screen before bursting with an In-N-Out dribble that freezes Johnson before a quick first step with his left and even takes an extra dribble to get back on balance in order to explode for a dunk he was pretty much able to show the whole package last night and here on the
Cross screen by Cory Joseph the Hawks do not switch but the goal is to get kaminga the ball again the post JK stays aggressive here and reads Johnson’s position remembering the last time he got him up for a shot fake Johnson now plays a little more deep and is giving
Him some extra space simple rise up for the midi that rattles in but you’d imagine Atlanta would live with that kind of shot it’s not too crazy to think kaminga was sooner or later later be the Warriors second option a clay on ball screen gets the Hawks to finally switch
And JK smells blood with a much smaller mismatch he’s definitely not passing the ball here and not selling for a jump shot either so kaminga hits him with a couple In-N-Outs and hesis and I feel like he knew the smaller guard would try to get his hands in a cookie jar to try
To get the steal so JK uses a James Harden move to draw contact before finishing the tough and one goce tried running the same play with the Thompson on ball screen in this time Johnson goes under the pck to prevent the switch another isolation kaminga forces it with his left hand and
Again keeps his dribble alive for the last body bump that contact got his Defender off balance allowing JK to use his strength and goes up strong for another layup we are seeing him improve his patience on ball in real time and immediately after being mad about not
Getting a foul call JK maintains his aggression by playing the passing Lane at half court picking the pass for a fast bra dunk and that was a huge momentum Builder this play had two great Parts first the chemistry then the post playay reaction by Steph Curry with curry screaming for
Kaming and pointing at him I believe this was a decoy because everyone thought JK is setting a Downs spring for the shooter in Klay Thompson including his Defender Jaylen Johnson who’s reading the off Ball action but JK and Steph were definitely on the same page and he fakes a scream for the sudden
Back cut and this chemistry between Curry and him was just beautiful as he gets the reverse layup to go and the foul by Johnson to put icing on the cake we got step to set a cross graen knowing that the Hawks will not switch this gets Johns in the
Trail and kaminga is able to establish deep position in the post no help from the Hawks one more time and JK was just too deep in his bag the whole game completely bullying Johnson by using his body to feel the defender before fading away for probably the toughest shot he
Took all game but he still gets to Shooter role there you guys have it I I was bound to finally make a Jonathan kaminga video after the last few weeks with the devastating sudden loss of one of their assistant coaches the Warriors had an extended time off before coming back
Home and celebrating dei’s life kaminga honored him by tying a franchise record with 11 shots and zero misses to go with nine big rebounds the last four games have been arguably the best of his career so far as the Warriors have been struggling to find consistent lineups
This season and with coaching and player conflicts Steve Kerr finally let kaminga to cook the whole game as we’re able to see him develop his left-hand game improve his decision- making and attacking in isolation now for a back to back so hope to end these next few weeks
Before the All-Star break on a very strong note so if you guys like this breakdown like And subscribe to see more
After the celebration of life for the assistant coach Deki, the Warriors hosted a Hawks team without Trae Young for their first game in more than a week. Jonathan Kuminga led the way by tying a Dubs franchise record for 11 out of 11 FGs, and I want to break down how he has developed his decision making skills in isolation with his left hand and off the catch, so let’s break this down.

🔥🔥 u fast bro
The good about jk is he's using his body to creat shot and getting foul at the same time.
Hopefully they kept him, he has the potential to become kahwi 2.0
That pass from Curry to JK was really tight.
The BESTis About to Come Out JK is on A Roll!!!
raptors missed out on JK ?
only problem I see, is the relying on Iso ball 100 percent of the time. He is not KD, would like to see some movement without the ball.
I hope they dont trade CP3. Kerr just needs to not play him next to Curry and limit his minutes to 20 a night. He is a great mentor for these guys. He was on the bench excited for every Kuminga play. Wiggins, Moody, Looney gets the Warriors Murray and Capella from the Hawks. Move Klay to the bench and start Curry, Murray, Klay, Green, Capella
Yeah! It's time to hand over the team to him, and keep Curry on the bench!
Jk can kill in the paint if they don’t switch
That mid range fadaway was killing all night!
Draymond green n whoever no reason to be fed when you not winning
If the Warriors trade JK so as to keep the core together, I give up!
Everyone saying "Deki" and no one knew who he was prior to his death much less their relationship with players and staff, so, pause the fakery, please
Glad to see Kuminga getting the recognition he has earned lately. His upside is HUGE and he is growing every game. As Mike Breen would say, he is working that midrange “like a part time job”!
