I do low-key think Trae turning down the injury replacement spot in the ASG the year it was hosted in Atlanta may have created some ill will from the coaches/league. I don’t imagine there’s many players who outright tell them to go fuck themselves when they extend that offer.
Is it gonna suck when he retires with less accolades than he should have because NBA coaches are hacks and the players who vote are haters? Yes. But I will never blame him for standing on business and not accepting a fake all star appearance.
