Bulls Trying to FINESSE the Pistons in LaVine Trade….
A new trade Suitor has been revealed as it seems as if the Pistons or bulls are trying to work out a Zack LaVine trade I’m your host Joey Mercer this is another episode of bulls digest and we’re going to be breaking down everything you need to know about the
Potential trade targets and what could be given up by the Chicago Bulls in this trade we’ll talk about all of that later on but before we get into that let me just say that about 85% of you that watch these videos are not subscribed to the channel so make if you watch these

And that is LaVine to the Pistons so it’s not something that we’ve really talked about too much uh We’ve mentioned a Demar D rozan trade that was a three team trade with Draymond going over to the Pistons to Mar to the Warriors earlier on in the season but we had
Haven’t really talked about LaVine going to the Pistons now what would something like this entail you might ask well that brings us to a tweet that I saw earlier which said the Pistons and bulls have discussed a trade centered around Zack LaVine per at JL Edwards III the Bulls
Would like a return of Buon bogdanovich and one of Kade Cunningham Aur Thompson Jaden Ivy or Jaylen durran now obviously the difference in those players is quite drastic as Cade seems to be an absolute untouchable assor Thompson and Jay uh Jaylen dorran sorry seem to be guys that
Are probably close to Untouchable but they would move for the right price and then Jaden Ivy I think the Pistons would definitely include in a trade as they haven’t seemed to really figure out where they want to play him and I’m not sure if he’s going to be in their
Long-term plans for much longer the next thing that we saw on this was a tweet from die har Chicago Bulls fans saying Zack LaVine has a career win percentage of 37 too if he tray to the Pistons he may go down as the biggest loser record-wise in NBA history and that’s
Not something that you want to see if you’re Zack LaVine but that is the absolute facts uh which is what brings us to the next part which was an article which went off the first tweet that I showed you from the NBA Central and says similarly the Chicago Bulls and Pistons
Have had conversations involving Zack LaVine League sources say Chicago appears to be locked in on a package involving Buon bogdanovic and one of Detroit’s blue chippers for LaVine and his Hefty contract once again the Pistons have shown no interest in paring with any of Cunningham Ivy durren or Thompson it is possible Detroit
Considers adding LaVine when SL if the Bulls asking price goes down however those are discussions that have been happening and will continue to happen internally now I’m not really sure what to believe when it comes to this one uh I don’t really know Zack LaVine doesn’t
Really seem to fit the piss whole game plan they would only be willing to take on bigger guys I think if they could flip them or see them in their long-term goals and I’m not really sure if Zack LaVine is a guy that is going to fit
That mold for them however you never know with Troy Weaver over there some stranger things have happened for the Pistons they fumble the bag a few times on different trades and we never really know what’s going through the head of their front office over there so stranger things could happen and a move
Like this could definitely occur when it comes to those players being a touchable that was mentioned and waiting for the asking price to go down I’d say the Bulls will just hold on to Zack LaVine rather than allowing asking price when it says just one of those players along
With Buon Buon and Jaden Ivy not a crazy asking price for Zack LaVine it might be a halfy contract but you have lots of money to spend if you’re the det troit Pistons every team knows that including the Chicago Bulls and they’re going to make you pay a premium to get that
Player there why not Buon who’s 34 by the way might you add the Bulls are not looking looking to contend right away so they’d have to get another young guy to come right in but how do those guys look so far and where do I think their potential stands on what they’re going
To become that’s something that I want to look at including how buan bogdanovich looks so far this season and Zack LaVine it’s good to look into those players and see exactly what we’re dealing with for how they run into things Advanced wise I mean there’s so many statistics out there right now
Besides just box score that we can base things on and box score doesn’t really help us when we’re looking at the Pistons players because a lot of stats are either inflated or deflated when it comes to field goal percentage CU they’re on the worst team in the NBA so
We want to see what they’re doing individually really well that isn’t showing up on the box score that could help another team or at least develop into that in the next few years so that brings us to Zack LaVine who of course is a shooting guard for the Chicago Bull
Plays a bit uh of small Fort as well is about 65 and with a 68 wingspan it’s pretty average NBA size his Bounce has gone down a little bit but still has the ability ility to highfly but after all of those injuries and surgeries it’s going to happen he’s only 28 years old
So still very young and his positional size at the C+ means it’s completely average uh when we look into it next though you can see that this is how he’s performing on the season we’ve talked a little bit about this but these are updated ones so you can see the crafted
OPM this is from the website crafted NBA if you guys haven’t checked it out make sure definitely to go check that one out uh if you’re looking for these statistics he is in the 87th per uh when it comes to offensive plus minus in the entire NBA at shooting guard this only
Is related to the positions that he plays when we look at defense 10th percentile that means there are about 89 to 90% of the rest of the league is better than him at shooting guard when it comes to defense so the defensive Wes are definitely legitimate that are PF
That you see there with the lowercase r that is his rate to personal foul that’s in the 85th per it’s not good when the rest of the defensive stats are bad that means he’s not picking up fouls and he’s not trying either uh when we look at the
Offense when you go down that’s the true shooting percentage when it ranks up to the rest of the league he’s in the 43rd percenti which is just below League average being 50 uh the shot quality one of the better in the league when it comes to the quality of shots he decides
To take at the 85th percentile his free throw rate is in the 64th percentile how often is he drawing fouls a little bit better than League average which is good to see out of a quote unquote star player the three-point attempted rate is just about League average in the 53rd
Percentile and in offensive rebounds he’s just about the worst offensive rebounder at shooting air in the league which is not something I exactly would be too worried about but it’d be nice to see him at least not the worst in the league uh CV that right there is when
He’s creating things how often is he turning the ball over right there he’s in the 60th percentile which is good the closer to 100 is the better it is he’s a little bit above average when it comes to the league when he tries to create so a little worrisome but nothing too crazy
Still very solid the load he’s in the 80th perc all he’s playing alongside uh D rozen and vuch of course and now Kobe white so his load has gone down a little bit to the 80th percenti that’s the load of the offense that he is carrying on
Himself when we look at the portability how how well does he fit on every team or mesh with every team in the league offensively they’re saying here that his portability to another team is in the 41st percenti meaning worse than average so it would be a little bit more Niche
But not necessarily impossible to fit him it’s just he’s not fitting on most teams in the NBA his passer rating is about average at the 47th per just a couple points below so not a great passer either for the shooting guardar position but about average his deflections that means how often he’s
Getting deflections on defense when it comes to uh just getting a poke on the ball doesn’t necessarily have to be a steal but getting your hands on things trying to disrupt passes disrupt offensive players right there you can see he’s in the 37th percentile So Below League average his uh defensive
Turnovers there hofton the rate that he is uh causing turnovers while he’s on the defensive end 13th percenti really bad one of the worst in the NBA at that his offensive rebound percentage actually pretty solid better than I thought it would be at the shooting gar
Position at the 62% on the league that means he is just a bit better than uh average which is solid the rim frequency that’s how often is he going to the rim and protecting the rim it’s only the 18th per on the league so once again one
Of the worst players in the league when it comes to that as well as followed up the exact same percentage for his block percentage is very bad this is only compared to shooting guards not all the players in the league so it is bad for his position his versatility is about
Average on defense meaning he could probably fit in a team uh oriented defensive system in the right system system and it’s about average so it’s kind of a unknown there for sure and we already talked about the rate for personal fouls so I won’t go over those
Stats as much there if there’s any of those that you have questions on you can hover over them on crafted NBA as we talk into more of these things I just wanted to show you guys percentiles so you could see exactly where everybody is sitting and what the things they’re best
At uh LaVine would be shock quality he’s great at he he’s great at carrying an offensive load and he can create a little bit as well and is one of the best offensive players in the league at the 87th peren off so that’s something good to notice there and now let’s go
Over the Detroit Pistons players starting with buan bogdanovich he is 34 years old of course and those two little uh yellow badges you see there the one that looks like a cander means that he is a seeve it is a seeve of course as well depending on where you’re to what
You refer to it that means he is one of the worst defenders in the NBA something to take a note of and that Bullseye with an arrow going through it means he’s a sharpshooter on the best Shooters in the league he plays small forward for the
Pistons a bit of power forward as well he’s about 68 and the wingspan we don’t have because it was a little bit of an unknown with him when he was drafted so we don’t have that wingspan on file right now uh 226 pounds from Bosnia heroa and uh yeah the positional size is
A C+ because we don’t know the wingspan and that’s about what a small forward is right now between 67 and 68 when we go in and we look at bogdanovic’s Stats we can see right away he is a worse offensive player but the shooting is really good it’s just he’s not creating
Or passing we can look at his true shooting percentage in the 59th percentile a little bit better than average I’d call it about average shot quality one of the best in the entire NBA at The 91st percentile his free throw rate is about where Zack LaVine is
Oddly enough at the 59th percentile he’s shooting more three-pointers at the 64th percentile his offensive rebounding is better at the 60th which really shocked me with bogdanovich but pretty solid when he tries to create things he turns it over a little bit too much in the
28th percenti so that shows me that you want him to be a little bit more of a spot-up shooter but can create when needed just not that often the load is the 73rd perc off so he can take a lot of shots for you there above average creation same thing 73rd percent all
That’s great to see his portability fits on teams a little bit easier than Zack LaVine offensively in the 71st perc out and his passing is below average of 38th percentile 79th percentile offensively in the league when it comes to plus minus on defense he’s about as worse as
It comes I think it’s like him and Trey young the last time I checked for the worst defenders in the league second percentile he is absolutely horrible on defense we’re 22% on the flexions sixth on defensive turnovers 15th on defensive rebounds ninth on rim defense he can’t
Protect anything at The Rim at any position the frequency of him being there is pretty high at the 71st percentile which makes it even worse when his block percentage and rim defense are so poor at the ninth percentile and the sixth percentile his versatility to fit into a team defense
Is a whole lot better than Zack lavine’s at the 76th percentile which gives you a lot of Hope but the rest of those stats are really really poor so I wouldn’t be too happy about that when we go on we look at the next player in this trade
We’re going to look at Cade Cunningham who is much younger than bogdanovich and is probably an absolute untouchable but let’s see how he’s doing so far this season uh and he has had a few injuries but he’s played a lot of time as well we
Can see he is one of the worst defenders in the NBA so far could have a lot to do with the system as well over there in Detroit but something to take into account he has a very good positional size at a where he play shooting guard
Or point guard and he’s 66 with a 7 foot wingspan which is great only 22 years old and when we look into it a little bit more with him we can see that offensively he’s about where bogdanovich is but but when we look at that load and
Creation that’s about as good as you can get in the entire NBA everything is on Cade right now for the Detroit Pistons I’ll let you kind of absorb those stats there and we can just note some things that he’s not great at or he’s really
Good at so the shot quality is good it’s good it’s not great it’s good the true shooting percentage 3 point a1th of rate and how often he turns the ball over when he tries to create the creative turnovers are something that are a little bit worrisome with him so not so
Great but a lot of potential with him his passer rating in the 85th percentile he’s a great passer that can carry a lot of load on offense for you and can create for you that’s great to see from Kade defensively once again one of the worst defenders in the NBA his
Versatility is very high at the 86 percentile but when we look at The Rim frequency defense block percentage for the size of him at shooting guard and point guard he’s not able to block other small guards he fouls about League average his deflections defensive turnovers and defensive rebound are
Below League average but some potential with the size of Kade Cunningham on that end so that shows me with the rest of those stats not being near as low as bogdanovich he does have defensive potential but I wouldn’t hope that he becomes a really good Defender it just
Might be a Team Defender somewhere down the road it just isn’t just yet and offensively he’s on the absolute right track is just carrying way too much of the load for the Pistons which isn’t exactly something crazy that we’ve had to see it was something that I definitely fig watching some of those
Piston games and I’m sure all of you watching there at home can definitely see that he has to carry a lot of it without him they don’t really have a whole lot going on however without him in the lineup the team is doing good but when he’s out there on the floor pretty
Much everything runs through him next player we’re looking at is Jaden Ivy so the thumbs down means he is replacement level meaning he is one of the worst players in the NBA this season uh that bucket that you can see there with a cross going through it of a a box that
Right there is Rim defense that’s supposed to be the backboard he’s one of the best Rim defenders in the NBA oddly enough at the shooting guard position he is a bad Defender overall but he does get some blocks which is a really strange archetype for a shooting guard
He’s only 21 years old and is 64 which is a little bit short for shooting guard but a 69 wingspan puts him nearly a Dwayne Wade type of size he is a bigger job Mor when he came in and now looks more so of the size of AD Dwayne Wade
Just needs to put on some weight to make him a little bit bulkier and I think Jaden Ivy will kind of fit into some things but let’s look at where he’s going wrong and where he’s going right we can see right there that the true shooting percentage is 42% which isn’t
Great and the quality of shots he’s taken is really bad at 28th percentile but he gets to the line a lot the 89th percentile the top guy that we’ve looked at so far which is crazy to see when we look at some other things he doesn’t
Shoot a lot of Threes he’s about average at rebounding offensively and he turns the ball over way too much when he tries to create and that means that he’s not going to fit on many teams based on his offensive play style his load and creation are decently high for a guy
That is bad at a lot of other things which is not good and his passer rating is above average but isn’t anything really to talk about it has potential to get better but he would definitely have to be in a different system for that to happen his overall offense is below
League average at the 36 percentile and he would need a lot of change for him to become better the thing that I think that he has a lot of uh ability to do is he can carry on some of the load we’ve seen it has to do with the Pistons his
Ability to get through the rim he is like de whistle that’s something that’s really cool to see there that’s something he needs to do more needs to attack the rim more not settle for those jumpers and that could really help him the offensive end when we look at
Defense he’s in the six percentile he’s really bad just like Kade but I do see a bit of a potential when it comes to blocking things at The Rim his Rim freak frequency and block percentage are solid from frequency at 71% is absolutely great for shooting guard and block
Percentage in the 59th percentile that’s pretty crazy that is really good to see there and you can see that he’s above League average at shooting guard for that adds to the versatility being about average a lot of other things are not good he is fouling a little bit too much
Which isn’t helping with that but he is a solid rim protector at the shooting a position that can draw fouls offensively it just leaves a lot of glaring holes with his shooting his shot quality and then overall his perimeter defense has not been great there have been some
Highlights of him blocking shots that we’ve seen and those are fair those those really do Show how he plays defense and has that length to really back him up with the 69ine wings span at just about 63 to 6’4 the next player that we’re going to look at here we’ve
Only got two left when we come to Jaylen durren and assur Thompson and they’re pretty similar when we look at Jaylen durren he’s a center which is the biggest difference of course between him and aaur Thompson but he’s a 610 Center 250 lb a 75 wingspan a body of demerus
Cousins and he’s only 20 years old that is a solid size for sure when we look at it here his true shooting percentage because he really only takes shots at The Rim is in the 92nd percentile one the best in the NBA at that position his shot quality is bad because once again
He doesn’t take any threes or shots outside the paint and even if he’s shooting that well around the rim realistically it could be higher it could be worse though too but your shot quality is never going to be that high if you don’t have a diversity of shots
All of his shots are coming directly at The Rim he draws a few fouls but also needs to improve his free throw shooting his offensive rebounding one of the better in the league at the 88th percentile and he should never try to create anything himself in the fourth
Percentile there when it comes to turnovers turns the ball over a lot whenever he tries to put it on the floor and that’s not what you like to see his load creation portability and passer rating are all about average maybe a little bit below for the passer rating
And his OPM is about average as well for the position there’s definitely some potential but he need to be a bigger lob threat in my opinion they need to utilize him even more and when he gets those o boards he needs to work on his touch around the rim and he will be
Absolutely perfect he’s very good at those things now but he will be a top player in the league when it comes to a big man that is defensive offensively when they need to finish around the rim he’ll be that guy this would be the guy
As well I’d like to mention now that I think the Bulls should Target the most out of all the Pistons players because he has so much upside potential his deflections are not good he’s a center I’m not too worried Drummond’s really good at getting deflections so if we
Keep Drummond around that’s fine that’s a guy that can kind of work with him work on that aspect of his game or even back him up and kind of do what that needs to be done if we’re not getting enough of those and that’s a look that
Billy Donovan would want us to go in when we look at the defense turnovers he causes good few 70th percenti his defensive rebounding has got to get better he’s getting most of his rebounds on the offensive end defensive rebounding is really poor but his defense is really really good Rim
Defense in the 86% F the better in the league and he’s only 20 years old he should go there a little bit more as the frequency is lower but his block percentage is very high at the 81st percentile he just fouls a little too much and really has to hover around the
Rim which lowers his versatility to one the worst in the league at the center position at at the fifth percentile this is a whole lot different than gobear who can switch if you watch the games and drop back and really be a threat at The Rim people are trying to attack a little
Bit more enduring than obviously they would with such a great Deo candidate like Rudy go bear the DPM is above average 64th per out lots of potential to build there this is a guy that is a little bit more raw could develop his game and really be a not franchise
Player but a very good quality starter that could potentially turn into an Allstar in the future in my opinion when we look at the next player and the last player that we’re going to be looking at there today it is AAR Thompson He’s listed at shooting G that’s to play small forward power
Forward he’s only about 66 but has a 7 foot wingspan only 218 lbs so he’s a little bit more frail but nothing to worry about it’s not like he’s chat out there with the size of his weight to height ratio his positional size is still very good and at only 21 years old
It is crazy to think that he is older than um that of Jaylen durren I really didn’t think that Aur Thompson was that old but that’s what they’re listen to here at Crafton NBA so we’ll go on that if of course is if that’s wrong let me
Know down in the comments below I did not think he was that old but there definitely is a possibility when we look at it here the true shooting percentage his offensive game is near Ben Wallace level oddly enough both on the Pistons he really is the one of the more raw
Prospects I’ve ever seen on the offensive end is only able to draw fouls because he’s not that great of a free throw shooter and his offensive rebounding is very solid for his position when you look at everything else he is one of the worst players in
The NBA uh the passer rating is okay but it’s really just around League average leading him to the 15th perc offensively has a lot of room to grow there the deflections though look at the defense that besides the amount that he fouls because he really has to jump at
Everything for him to be that effectful right now on the defensive end as you can see his block percentage Rim frequency Rim defense and versatility are so so high even the flections are very good turnovers League average and rebounding is still very solid you besides the the fouling if he can up
That I really do believe his defensive plus minus would be closer to 855 to 90th per on the NBA he has so much potential to be a Deo candidate that’s exactly what I’m seeing out of him or at the very least an all defensive caliber player he really needs to to poish his
Offensive game or I really do fear that he’s going to be out of the league because the player right now that he really reminds me of where he can’t really shoot too much and hasn’t really developed that really can’t shoot at all is unfortunately matis thel who has
Almost worked himself out of the league and is now kind of finding himself a little bit more on the Trailblazers as his three-point shot has really got down but until Aur Thompson can really develop a solid at least stand jump shot I think he’s going to work his way out
Of the league unless that defense is deo but MTI thyo is also similar if we were to look at his defense around this time so aaur really needs to work on that offensive game in order for him to remain in this league for years to come
This has been your host Joey Mercer I hope you like the different take we took as we broke down each player that could potentially be moved to the Chicago Bulls for the right pieces those were were giving up Zack LaVine we looked at him and those were the guys that we

Duran would be a game changer
id get so hard for ausar
I don’t think it’s a bad trade. Zach fits better with Ivey Thompson Duran. Trade the only way pistons lands a Zach or player of his caliber thru trades no one’s gone willingly sign there.

Bulls need best center not SG or PG 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤦♂️
